Chapter 467
Originally, he simply wanted to stay in the bathtub. However, it seemed that things were not as simple as Ava had thought. At this moment, they were studying why the water felt so soft, smooth, and warm….
If there was an excess of love, it had the power to overflow from the bathtub, causing water to splash everywhere and continue its unending flow. It was a masterpiece in the making.
“I’m going to sleep. Good night,” Ava said, already exhausted. She closed her eyes in a daze and bid Frank good night.
She quickly crawled into bed and drifted off to sleep.
Observing the tired expression on her face, Frank smiled contentedly. “Alright, time for bed. Good night. I’ll assist you with changing into your pajamas.”
It was a peaceful and restful night’s sleep.
After Frank helped Ava get dressed, he carried her into a sweet dreamland. It was really comfortable to sleep with a little girl hugging him.
Early the next morning.
Rose woke up early to have breakfast in the dining room. After eating, she stared at the staircase as she packed her breakfast. “Isn’t my brother getting up to eat?
“If he were born in ancient times, he would have been a powerful wornanier. Just look at him; he doesn’t even go to work. Sigh, I’m genuinely concerned. It seems like he hasn’t grown up yet.”
Rose muttered in frustration, grumbling about her brother’s habit of sleeping in and neglecting his work.
As an adult, William could easily understand why the two upstairs didn’t rush down immediately. He coughed awkwardly, thinking that his daughter didn’t fully comprehend the situation. In reality, Rose was simply venting her frustration out of boredom. After all, Ava had dressed like that the night before, making it obvious that something was amiss.
William and Grace had no intention of continuing their daughter’s conversation.
William said, “Please, hurry up and get to work. Take some more.”
“That’s enough. He doesn’t eat much,” Rose declined William’s offer of pizza.
Grace glanced at the breakfast in her daughter’s hand and did not say anything in the end.
After Rose left, William started talking. “Looks like we’re going to be grandparents soon, right?”
“Don’t overthink it. Your son won’t disrupt Ava’s studies. Let go of your unrealistic expectations.”
Just as William was feeling elated, Grace had the rug pulled out from under him. It felt like a bucket of ice-cold water had been dumped on him, chilling his heart and snuffing out the hope that had just been kindled.
William sighed heavily and looked helplessly in the direction of the staircase. It wasn’t entirely a good thing that his son was too sensible. At least, not when it came to him being a grandfather. “Sigh.”
Outside the villa, in Edward’s car.
Rose got into the car and stuffed her breakfast into Edward’s hands. She took out her lipstick and applied it to her lips, facing
the rearview mirror.
Afraid that Edward would be hungry and rush out, she did not put on any makeup.
Edward ate the breakfast while looking at Rose. Rose, who had put on makeup and lipstick, pursed her lips several times. She put away the lipstick and placed it in her bag.
A finger pressed against Edward’s chin and raised his head. She asked with a charming gaze, “Do I look good, Edward?”
Edward couldn’t react in time to her sudden coquettishness. He choked on the breakfast he had just eaten. “Cough, cough…”
Seeing that his face was red from coughing, Rose did not have the mood to continue teasing him. She quickly took the prepared coffee and handed it over to him. “I was just joking with you. Do you have to choke from fright?”
She thought, “I didn’t do much just now. I just winked at him a few times and blinked a few times. Why is he so fragile?”
“This was too bad. If she were a female demon in the television drama, would Edward be able to take it?
“He definitely wouldn’t be able to take it.”
Edward took a few sips of coffee. He took the tissue from Rose and wiped the corner of his lips. “I’m sorry, Rose. I lost my composure.”
It was mainly because Rose’s sudden coquettishness made Edward’s mind rush into some inappropriate thoughts
However, he could not tell Rose the reason.

Chapter 467
Rose was quick-witted. “What are you talking about? You don’t have to maintain your image in front of me. We can do whatever we want. Don’t be tense. You… You have to live your own life. At the very least, you have to stay away from Depressed Prince.”
Besides, who knew who would lose their composure in front of whom?
The Roberts family’s villa.
Frank’s phone on the bedside table kept vibrating. Even the person in his arms frowned and moved. “Frank, it’s a call.”
He turned sideways and reached out to take his phone to check. The person who didn’t know what was good for him was his future brother-in-law, Trevon Wilson. It was always unpleasant to be woken up from a good sleep. He answered in an unfriendly tone, “Hello.”
On the other end of the line, Trevon could clearly hear the displeasure in Frank’s tone. Instead, he smiled slyly. “Are you still harboring unfulfilled desires?”
Frank smiled playfully and retorted, “Who are you talking about? I’m not that horny.”
Trevon wasn’t angry. After all, he had three children. What was wrong with being horny? He said smugly, “You only live once, you know.”
Frank instantly understood what he meant. He replied, saying he was just talking nonsense. “Seriously, are you calling me just to ease me?”
He thought, “He has three children already, why does he have to tease me?”
Having gained the upper hand, Trevon didn’t waste any more time talking to Frank. He continued discussing serious matters. “Come over for lunch at noon. Your future mother-in-law and the others are all here.
“Other than being your friend, I’m still your brother-in-law. I have to call you by the way.”
Frank was pulled and stopped in place. For some reason, he felt a tinge of envy toward Trevon.
Click, click. After taking the photo, Ava jogged over to Jasper and stood beside him. “Trevon.”
Trevon lowered the plane’s altitude and slowly landed it on the ground. He let go of his son’s hand. “Give it a try.”
“That’s quite fast,” he said to Frank.
Then she said, “Aunt, Lena and your sister are upstairs.”
Ava said, “Oh, then I’ll go look for my sister. Frank, chat with Trevon. I’ll go look for her.”
“Okay, go ahead.” They couldn’t be together all the time.
Frank squatted down and pinched Jasper’s face. “You can’t fly? It seems your father’s skills aren’t up to par. How about I teach you?”
Jasper replied softly, “Okay.”
Then, Frank really picked up the remote control and explained to Jasper seriously, like a patient teacher and a child listening attentively.
Someone had taken over Trevon’s job, so he was free. He put his hands in his pockets and said indifferently, “I’ll let you do an internship in advance for free.”
No matter how calm his tone was, the smugness hidden in his words could still be heard.
Upstairs, Ava pushed the door open and entered. Emma was sitting on a stool with Lena sitting beside her. There was no nanny in the room.
“Mom, Lena, Natalie.”
Natalie turned her gaze to the door and waved at Ava. “Ava, come and sit.”
After Ava sat down, Emma glanced at her daughter and didn’t say anything. She smiled gently and lectured her in the tone of an elder, “Natalie, Jasper is the oldest now. You should pay more attention to him.”
“Children are the most sensitive. The two babies are still young and don’t know anything. They can only eat, sleep, and have their diapers changed when they pee. But Jasper is different. He’s gradually growing up. He understands many things. We have to care about him more than before.”
Natalie understood. In a family with multiple children, the most difficult thing for parents to do was to be fair.
This was especially true for children. Although they were young, they were very sensitive. Sometimes, they were even more sensitive than adults. For example, a piece of cake might also trigger children’s displeasure.
And the unfairness of parents would also make the child feel distant, let alone fostering a sense of kinship.
“Auntie, I understand. I’ll also remind Trevon.”
Emma felt that Jasper was very smart. It was fine if she wanted him to protect his two sisters, but she had to guide him slowly. She could not directly say whom she wanted him to protect or that he had to protect them. This would make Jasper feel disgusted.
Sometimes, by removing the commanding tone from a sentence, eliminating arrogance, superiority, and venting, it could become much gentler and more acceptable.
