Half an hour later, the driver woke Bianca up and told her that she had arrived. She opened her eyes and got out of the car after she paid.

She did not ask the driver to stop the car in front of the company but rather at a nearby office building.

Luca looked at the reporters guarding the entrance of the pharmaceutical company and shook her head helplessly. She knew that this would happen, so she asked to get out of the car at another office building.

She chose to enter the underground parking lot from the side entrance and then head upstairs after scanning her fingerprint.

After stepping out of the elevator, Luca clocked in and it showed that she was late. However, she did not care.

She had mentioned to Rhett that she was going to be late. He would have relayed the message to Dr. Cole.

Luca walked back to the office, and when she just sat down, someone knocked on her office door.

"Come in," she said.

Mo opened the door and was surprised to see Luca sitting in the office chair. After she saw the news last night, she thought that Luca would not come to work today.

When she saw that Luca had clocked in, she thought that it was an error.

"What's the matter?" Luca asked nonchalantly when she saw her surprised expression.

"Dr. Craw, all the professors are having a meeting in the conference room now. Since you’re here, do join us for the meeting." Mo snapped out of it and invited Luca.

"Okay." Luca wanted to turn her down but all the professors were there. If she did not show up, it would make it seem like she had special authority.

The news on the internet placed her in an awkward situation. She could not afford to make it seem like she was special. No matter what, she must do the same as everyone else. Otherwise, others might just say that she joined the company through the back door.

If that happened, no one would believe her when she said that she had nothing to do with Luke.

‘Will Luke be there too?’ Luca remembered that when she was at the hospital’s entrance, Luke mentioned that he was on the way to the office. It was likely that he was at work too.

‘Is he presiding over the meeting?’

"Dr. Craw?" Mo looked at Luca, who did not respond after agreeing to attend. She called out to her softly.

"Let's go." Luca returned to her senses, took her laptop, and walked out of the office.

Mo immediately followed behind her at a steady pace while looking at her slim figure.

Luca was a beautiful woman with a stunning body. Mo was not surprised that Luca was Luke's mistress.

The two opened the door and walked into the meeting room.

When Luca saw Dr. Cole seated at the front, she was relieved and smiled faintly. She apologized and said, "Sorry, I'm late."

"Sit down." Dr. Cole looked calm. After all, he was the head of the department. Even if he knew about her and Luke, he could not show any excessive emotions. He just asked her to sit down.

Luca found her seat and sat down.

Dr. Cole continued with the meeting.

Rhett handed the meeting outline and coffee to Luca. "Dr. Craw, this is your coffee, and this is the meeting outline."

"Thank you." She thanked him softly.

Rhett blushed, smiled, and sat back in his seat.

Mo sneered when she saw the scene. Judging from Rhett's expression, she was 100% sure that he was interested in Luca.

Men were all over her just because she was good-looking.

Mo felt something off in her heart but could not show it. All she could do was sit in the assistant's seat.

Rhett pushed the door open and walked in while holding a cup of coffee in his hand.

"Mr. Link, what's the matter?" Luca asked.

"Dr. Craw, would you like some coffee?" Rhett asked while raising the cup of coffee in his hand.

"Oh, thank you." Luca happened to feel a little sleepy, so the coffee came at the right time.

"Dr. Craw, I have something to tell you." Rhett carefully put the coffee on the table without making a sound.

"What's the matter?" Luca knew he came for something. That was why he brought over a cup of coffee.

"I want to assist you with your project," Rhett said. After listening to Luca's report during the meeting, he was very interested in her research project and wanted to work on it with her.

"Okay," Luca agreed.

"Really?" Rhett thought he would have to convince her. He did not expect that she would agree so easily.
