"Don't worry, Izabella. I will take good care of your child. I won't let him be disabled, like having a broken arm or a limp leg. I'll let him live well, just like you, to live a life worse than death."

Brett's face stiffened suddenly upon hearing this recording.

Kaley was still holding onto Brett's arm, but her grip had loosened. A chill from the depths of her heart spread to every corner of her body.

Amelia held her phone, sneering, "So you said those things intentionally to provoke Izabella and then lied that she wanted to kill you?"

"Shut up!" Kaley cried, tears continuing to flow.

During the entire process, Brett remained silent, as if he didn't exist.

It wasn't until Amelia left that Kaley, with her tearful red eyes, stood in front of him and cried, "Brett, do you believe what she said?"

"No, I trust my own ears and eyes."

"But sometimes, ears and eyes can deceive you." Kaley raised her voice, her eyes bloodshot, "Brett, we've known each other for so many years, how could you trust a video given by a woman you just met today? You know my character, I wouldn't lie to you."
