Izabella was in a daze, hearing the words Brett was saying.

She thought again about the disgusting words Brett had said earlier when he brought Kaley to her hospital room.

Izabella shook her head, her reddened eyes staring straight out the window, her throat choking with sobs.

Brett's heart skipped a beat, and before he could react, Izabella suddenly screamed and cried loudly.

People break down in an instant, Izabella fiercely leaned back, catching Brett off guard and hitting his chin, he almost bit his tongue.

Brett held Izabella's upper body tightly with one hand and quickly pressed the call bell on the wall behind him with the other.

Worried that Izabella might hurt herself again, he hurriedly held her wrists and restrained her in his arms.

He was not good at comforting people and even his tenderness towards Kaley was perfunctory. Now that Izabella suddenly went crazy, he was at a loss for what to do.

Fortunately, the nurse rushed over after hearing the bell and brought a sedative knowing that something was going on.

After being injected with the sedative, Izabella's whole body went limp. She held her belly, mumbling in pain, curled up, and tears falling down her cheek, quickly wetting Brett's clothes.

"Why is she in pain?"

The nurse's face was serious, "She just had a big surgery today, so of course, it will hurt." This was normal, but why would someone who was just sleeping suddenly wake up and scream?

Both the nurse and the doctor in the room couldn't help but move their eyes to Brett. Their meaningful gazes were self-evident, as if he had just committed an unforgivable crime.

In their minds, they even imagined the beastly appearance of a man forcing a patient on the bed.

Brett's attention was all on Izabella, and he didn't notice the others' gazes. Seeing Izabella's sweat-soaked temple, his heart ached.

The more the doctor acted like this, the more uneasy Brett felt. He could see what they were implying from their eyes.

With the sedative and painkiller working, Izabella soon fell asleep. Brett went out to the nurse's station to get more information about her condition.

"Experiencing auditory hallucinations, the lost child has had a significant impact on her, and it's highly likely that she has schizophrenia." The doctor couldn't confirm this without an examination and could only say it was a possibility. However, from the doctor's tone, it seemed like a certainty.

Brett stumbled backward, the disbelief clear in his eyes, unable to accept that Izabella's condition had gotten this bad.

"How could this be? She obviously didn't care about that child, she even said she was disgusted to be carrying my child, even if there hadn't been an accident, she would have aborted it anyway." So, why would Izabella have a mental breakdown over an "insignificant" child?

Brett muttered to himself in disbelief, and the doctor felt confused, directly saying, "But the fact is, she can't let go of that child, and has even experienced hallucinations after the miscarriage."

Brett clenched his eyes shut and squeezed his hands tightly. He thought Izabella hated him and their child to the core. In order to avenge her cruelness, he even took Kaley in front of her and treated her like a reproductive machine.
