Noah came outside and stood on the balcony. From what he could see, there were endles mountains and trees surrounding the manor. 

He frowned. “He’s not keeping a kid captive. He’s keeping a criminal in prison!” 

After standing on the balcony for a short while, Noah started feeling weak. He endured the feeling and started exploring other areas. He had been trying to find a way out while he had been locked up there. 

However, the security was too tight. Even if he managed to sneak past the guards, he wouldn’t be able to run a mile before his weak body collapsed. He might even lose his life. 

After he took a good look around the area, Wendy finally realized that he was gone, and she immediately panicked. “Noah? Where are you, Noah?” 

If something were to happen to him, she figured Xavier would skin her alive. As she thought of that, she trembled in fear. 

Just then, Noah entered the room with a glass of water. “Are you tired, Ms. Wendy? Have 

some water.” 

When Wendy saw him, she let out a breath of relief. Because of how smart and adorable he was, she had already forgotten to take care of him like a toddler. 

“Thank you, Noah. I’m not thirsty. No matter what you do in the future, you have to let me know. I was terrified when you were missing just now.” 

“Sure.” He nodded solemnly. Then, it looked like he remembered something, and his eyes, started to tear up. 

Feeling anxious, Wendy asked, “What’s wrong, my dear Noah? Why are you crying?” 

He sniffled and said, “I miss Mommy and Daddy, Ms. Wendy. Can you call Mr. Xavier and tell him?” 

Wendy couldn’t bear to watch him cry with tears rolling down his face. “Alright. I’ll call the housekeeper right now.” 

She didn’t have Xavier’s contact information, and she couldn’t get any reception in the manor. She would even have to go through the guards outside to contact the housekeeper. 

So, she got another nanny to keep an eye on Noah. Then, she let the guards know that Noah kept crying and that he wanted to see his parents.

The housekeeper told him about Noah. 

“I understand.” Xavier hung up the call right away. He figured he had to set a rule that people 

couldn’t call him before 9:00 am. 

“Can I get up now?” Yvette asked. 

He wanted to sleep with her in his arms a little while longer. However, when he thought about Noah, he was worried something might happen. So, he let her go.. 

“Yeah. I have something to attend to, so I’m heading out,” he said as he lazily got up. 

Yvette turned her head around. Xavier was already putting on his clothes. 

She asked, “Can we talk about how you can’t hold me like that when we sleep next time? Basically, we should set some boundaries for how we interact with each other in the future. What you did was unfair.”
