Yvette froze as she uncomfortably looked at Xavier. He couldn't see anything and could only tell where she was using his hearing. "Can you take me to the toilet?"

She returned to her senses and reached out. "Sure."

She helped him get out of bed and immediately left him in the toilet after telling him where the toilet bowl was.

After a long while, there was suddenly a loud crash coming from inside. Yvette hurried into the toilet.

When she opened the door, she saw that he had accidentally knocked a glass off the sink, sending it crashing to the ground. He had bent over to pick it up, and it cut his hand. Blood was gushing out of the wound.

"You've cut your hand."

She quickly stopped him from moving. Suddenly, he grabbed her hand and asked the question from last night again. "Do you find me disgusting?"

Yvette was slightly stunned, and she didn't answer him. Instead, she gently pried his hand away from her. "I'll get the nurse to tend to your wound."

After ten minutes, the nurse came to clean the toilet and replace all the fragile items. Xavier quietly sat on the chair as she wrapped his hand in gauze.

The nurse would look at his well-defined face from time to time. Although he was injured and covered in scars, he still looked noble. By the time she was done tending to his wound, her face was blushing bright red.

"Ms. Snyder, it's done."

"Thank you."

Yvette saw the nurse off and closed the door.

Xavier had lost consciousness and slept through the whole night yesterday, so Yvette hadn't gotten the chance to ask about his condition. Although Benedict had said he had amnesia due to the nerves in his brain being damaged, she still didn't believe it.

"Xavier, do you really not remember anything?" she asked.

Unexpectedly, he answered with another question. "Is my name really Xavier?"

Whether he was faking it or not, she didn't want to lie to him. To her surprise, he suddenly hugged her right after she said that. "Darling, are you abandoning me?"

When he called her that, she was stunned again.

At that moment, Shannon opened the door and came in. She had heard what Xavier had said and saw the two of them hugging. She immediately got out of the room and closed the door behind her.

Yvette hurriedly tried to push Xavier away, but he was holding on to her tightly. "Darling, my eyes will recover. Please don't leave me."

Had it been before, Xavier would never have called her that, let alone begged her so desperately. Yvette wanted to prove that he hadn't lost his memories, but she couldn't find any evidence at all.

She clenched her fists and cruelly said, "The doctor has said that your eyes will never get better."

Xavier froze. Then, she continued without holding back, "Drop the act, Xavier. I don't care if you're pretending to have amnesia or not. I still want to get a divorce."

As she spoke, she could feel the strong arms around her slowly letting go.
