"Shaun? Samantha?" Sandra stood in between them, waving her hands.

"Hold on!" Shaun came to his senses. Ignoring that he was merely wearing underwear, he immediately got out of bed. He didn't even wear his slippers and began rummaging through the wardrobe for a set of clothes.

Afterward, he fled for the bathroom and put on the clothes in a hurry. He then simply brushed his teeth and washed his face before rushing out to grab Samantha's hand. "Let's go!"

Samantha hadn't even realized what was going on, nor did she know where he was about to take her. However, she let him hold her hand and ran out of the room with him.

Meanwhile, all guests had arrived at the banquet hall. The emcee was waiting for Brook to inform him that the banquet would begin. As time passed, the emcee was slightly surprised upon not receiving any notice.

"It's been so long. Where's Shaun? Why isn't he here yet?" Alex asked Brook after looking at the time.

It wasn't just Shaun who hadn't arrived. Even Shannon wasn't present either.

Brook was baffled as well. It had been about half an hour since Sandra had gone to look for Shaun. Why weren't Shaun and Shannon here yet?

"I'll go and have a look."

Fifteen minutes later, Brook rushed back. "Mr. Thompson Senior, I have bad news. Mr. Shaun's gone! He eloped with someone else."

"What? That scoundrel!" Alex was so angry that he burst into a fit of coughing. Before he could say a word, he fainted right away.

"Dad!"

"Mr. Thompson Senior!"

A group of people rushed over, all fighting to offer assistance. As there were too many pairs of hands, it made the situation messier than ever.

"Quickly call for a doctor," Brook called out while remaining by Alex's side.

The relatives gathering nearby began to gossip when they saw Alex open his eyes.

"Oh, he's awake."

"Thank goodness we had the emergency heart medication gifted by Ms. Steele."

"Exactly. If it weren't for these pills, I'm afraid Mr. Thompson Senior would be dead by now. No matter what, Ms. Steele is the Thompson family's benefactor."

"Oh, my. What an absurd thing that this even happened."

"But it's true that Ms. Steele did indirectly save Mr. Thompson Senior's life. Everyone should remember that."

As soon as Sandra rushed back to the banquet, she wordlessly listened to the relatives praising Samantha. She dared not to reveal that Shaun had eloped with Samantha.
