Not too long after Everly left Youngworth Miracle Clinic, Samantha showed up. She entered the western wing and happened to see Bernard walking out of a room.

He wore a white suit that made him look slim. His broad shoulders and slender waist would put an international model to shame.

He held a gray tie while walking toward the living room. He stopped before Hera, who was playing games on her phone, wanting her to help him put it on.

She did not object since she put her phone down and took the tie from him. She then tiptoed to help him put on the tie.

"I'll try to be back earlier tonight. If you're hungry, there's tiramisu cake in the fridge to tide you over."

Bernard lowered his head to kiss Hera on her forehead. He then used his fingers to tilt her head up, intending to lean in for another kiss.

Hera shoved him away, having spotted Samantha standing by the doorway. "You should quickly leave."

Bernard unhappily turned toward Samantha with a chilly gaze. She immediately understood and turned to walk out of the room. "You two go ahead. I'll come in later."

Hera was speechless.

Samantha stood by the doorway, playing with her phone for a while until she heard footsteps and Bernard's deep voice behind her. "You can go in."

"Thank you, Mr. Killian." Samantha cheerfully turned to enter the living room and saw Hera seated on the couch. She continued playing games on her phone while Tiramisu settled in her lap.

Samantha sat beside Hera before leaning in to closely inspect her face. Heartbroken women usually looked haggard.

However, Hera had a rosy complexion and red lips. She looked rather delicate and charming. She appeared so captivating, nothing like a woman who had just experienced heartbreak.

Clearly, she was still passionately in love. After all, it took her so long to bid goodbye to Bernard before he could even leave the house. They were far clingier than the couples in those romance shows Samantha had filmed.

Samantha had intentionally decided to come over and accompany Hera, who had supposedly broken up. It seemed like her visit was all for nothing.

"So, you couldn't?" Samantha was shocked. This wasn't the Hera she knew.

"It's not that I couldn't. I could live my life after our breakup, but I was always feeling uneasy," Hera said.

After the past six months together, she had gotten used to Bernard's cuddles, the food he prepared, and all her good memories with him.

Samantha smiled knowingly as she quickly nodded. "I get it. I get it. This is called love! My Hera has fallen in love and can never go back to the single life again."

Hera grinned. She and Samantha continued chatting. But not long after, Samantha's manager called her.

Hera led her out through the back door and watched her get into the MPV. Upon returning to the southern wing, she heard a commotion coming from the hall, accompanied by some screams.

"Nurse! Someone's been poisoned and has fainted!"
