At this point, Hera already had a hunch about who the perpetrator was. She simply wanted to know what Xavier would tell her.

With that thought in mind, she stated, "You guys should carry on with the questioning. I'll go check on Xavier."

Hera went after Gemma and the maids and eventually reached the house where Xavier resided. He had locked himself up in his bedroom, and Gemma was trying to coax him into unlocking the door.

"Xavi, hurry up and open the door. Let me see if you're hurt," said Gemma, her voice strained with worry.

"Ms. Gemma, this is the key to Mr. Xavier's bedroom," said a maid while handing over a key.

"Quick," Gemma urged. "Open the door."

"Allow me," Hera piped in, reaching for the key in the maid's hands.

The maid looked at Gemma as if waiting for further instructions.

"He's emotionally unstable right now," Hera explained. "I'll head in and check on him. You guys and wait outside."

Without giving it a second thought, Gemma nodded. Then, Hera took the key, unlocked the door, and slipped into the room.

The curtains weren't pulled, so the room was cast in total darkness. It made her feel rather unsettled.

"Xavier, it's me," Hera muttered, her voice light. Closing the door, she suppressed the growing unease in her heart. "Can I turn the lights on?"

It was completely silent in the room.

Hera groped for the switch in the dark. Finally, she found it and turned the lights on.

She couldn't find him in the room, but she noticed that the closet door was slightly ajar. She walked over to it and opened the closet.

Xavier, who was six feet tall, was crouching in the small closet. His back was hunched as he squeezed himself deep into the closet with the clothes around him. He looked rather pitiful.

"Don't you have something to tell me?" Hera asked, her voice soft.

"Roman. Linda."

Hera had only taken a glance at the words before he deleted them.

Smiling, she lowered her voice and said, "See you at the clinic."

Gemma had been waiting outside the room all this time with her hands clutched tightly as she silently prayed to God.

There was a click as the door handle was turned and the door was opened from the inside. Anxious, she asked, "How is Xavi? Is he okay? Can you treat him?"

"Call the clinic to make an appointment," Hera told her, shutting the door.

Gemma was relieved and glad to hear that. "Okay. Thank goodness you're here to help him."

Just then, a maid rushed over to them. Still gasping, she panted, "Dr. Shadow, Mr. Roman tried to take his own life! Please save him!"
