"Don't worry, it'll get better." Bernard finished applying the medicine and wrapped Hera's wounds with the bandage again.
"Okay," Hera responded calmly. Then, she raised her gaze and looked at Johnson. "Please start the discharge procedure, Johnson."
Hera would've discharged herself from the hospital a long time ago if it weren't because of Bernard. She was severely restricted here, and there weren't many things that she could do.
Hera was still dwelling on Lucius' case. He might've asked her to stop digging into it, but she couldn't accept it.
Hera wasn't fine with the fact that Daphne died for nothing. Daphne had wanted to vindicate Lucius in the last moments of her life. There was no way he could be cold-blooded.
If Lucius was afraid to tell the truth about what happened back then because he didn't want to send the entire Killian family to prison, then Hera would do it herself. It wasn't as if there were any decent people in that family.
Johnson said, "Your wounds are recovering fantastically, and there are no major injuries. You can be discharged and sent home to focus on your recovery. All you have to remember is to take your pills and apply the cream—"
"You should stay in the hospital for a few more days for observation." Bernard cut Johnson off. He was still worried about Hera.
"That won't be necessary," Hera rejected.
Bernard said, "Come on. You can be discharged after you regain sensation in your left hand."
Hera's heart skipped a beat. She had acted naturally earlier. How did Bernard see through her?
"No. I can go back home and focus on the recovery there," Hera said. If she stayed in the hospital any longer, Linda's trial would be over.
Hera insisted on being discharged, so Bernard had no choice but to go along with her. "You'll go home and get some rest, then. Johnson will come over for a routine check, and you're going to do as he says."
"Are you feeling better? Everyone at Quantford University was waiting for you to register. We're all very concerned about your well-being." Sonny said.
Normally, Quantford University wouldn't accept registrations past the freshman registration day. However, Hera was no ordinary student.
The dean personally sent out Hera's admission letter, and various prestigious national universities were competing to enroll her. Naturally, Quantford University didn't want to give up on such an excellent student.
They were more than happy to have Hera's name associated with Quantford University, even if she didn't attend any classes until the day she graduated.
"I've been discharged, but I have some personal matters to attend to. I'll have to register at the university at a later time," Hera responded.
"It's perfectly fine. Focus on your recovery. Your health is what matters most," Sonny immediately replied. "I'll give you the textbooks and video recordings of the professors' lectures. You can watch them when you have the time. That'll bring you up to speed."
