"That's my only condition. Come to me if you agree. But there's no point in wasting time if you don't." Hera pushed open the door. She paused for a moment before adding, "Oh, and as a favor for our past collaboration, I'll introduce you to someone. You can seek a partnership with Vulcan."

Bernard noticed the smirk on Hera's lips and understood her intention. She wasn't giving Chad hope but pushing him toward despair.

He couldn't help but laugh to himself.

"Aren't you Vulcan?" Chad frowned.

During XS Corporation's third anniversary party, Hera revealed the marks of both Vulcan and Raven. She didn't deny anything back then, leading many to speculate that Vulcan and Raven were the same person. Although, some disagreed.

Chad hadn't looked into the truth. After all, the company would profit as long as Hera was willing to work for them.

"I never said I was Vulcan." Hera smiled before entering the house.

Bernard shut the door, annoyed by Chad's presence.

Chad stared at the closed door. After calming himself, he turned to Neil. "Get someone to investigate Vulcan."

"Couldn't she have been lying, sir?" Neil speculated.

Even he could sense that Hera was targeting Killian Corporation.

"She has no reason to tell such a pointless lie," Chad responded.

Hera hadn't denied being Vulcan before, and Vulcan had never stepped forward to clarify either. This indicated that Hera knew Vulcan well and had a close relationship with him.

"Start by looking into the people around her," Chad instructed.

"Understood," Neil replied.

Chad was well aware of the schemes among his men. He hadn't cared much before, but now, he was out of options and needed answers.

Seeing Desmond's hesitation, Chad asked again, "Did you find anyone?"

Realizing there was no point hiding it, Desmond confessed, "No. I originally wanted to seek help from the grandmaster of Astral Nova, but I haven't been able to find him."

Bernard hadn't returned to headquarters, and with Chad short of people, Desmond had hoped to bring Rhett back. With that in mind, he added, "The last time I looked for the grandmaster of Astral Nova, I saw Bernard there as well. I heard he was also there for Mr. Rhett."

"Did he meet the grandmaster?" Chad asked.

"No, it was Samson who received him. Tyler was also there. And it seemed he had a disagreement with Bernard and stormed off after," Desmond muttered. "I wonder if Bernard instigated Mr. Rhett's investigation."

Whether or not Bernard was behind it, Chad was certain that if Bernard went to Astral Nova, it wasn't to free Rhett since his hatred for the Killian family ran deep.
