"Ms. Hemsley, where's my mommy?" Dora asked.

"A hotel employee just called her away, so she asked you to go ahead and have your lunch first. No need to wait for her," Margaret replied.

Meanwhile, Hera was in Room 1606, the family suite on the top floor of the hotel.

"Apologies, Ms. Youngworth. Your room reservation has been canceled. Kindly pack your things immediately and leave the room. We need to tidy it up for the next guest," the hotel manager, Derek Mraz, said to Hera. He had brought along two guards with him.

"When did I even cancel the reservation?" Hera asked. She had booked the room for half a month and only stayed for a day.

"Around noon. Your friend called to say that you won't be staying anymore and asked us to proceed with the checkout process," Derek explained.

Hera asked, "Which friend of mine?"

"About that… Your friend didn't give her name. The woman introduced herself as your colleague and best friend in Terranish."

The first person Hera thought of was Brenda in Flowera. A glint of disgust flashed through her gaze. She was repulsed by such childish behavior.

"I don't know who she is. I'll be staying in this room for two weeks, so please help extend my stay." Hera handed her bank card to Derek.

Derek seemed troubled. "Ms. Youngworth, I'm sorry. Someone has already booked this room, and we can't afford to offend her. Why don't you move to the double room downstairs?"

"You can't afford to offend her?" Hera chuckled. "Are you saying that it's easier to bully me?"

"That's not what I meant. It's just that your reservation has been canceled, you didn't pay a deposit, and you aren't a member of the hotel. Thus, we can't reserve the room for you as we usually prioritize rooms for our members. I hope you understand and won't make it difficult for us."

Derek had spoken in a polite yet firm tone. As soon as he finished speaking, the guards behind him straightened their postures.

They were making it very clear that if Hera did not cooperate, they would forcibly drag her out.

"Is anyone working at the hotel able to cancel your guests' reserved rooms?" Hera asked nonchalantly.

The hotel system's firewall was designed by XS Corporation. Its safety index was very high, and no hacker was able to breach it.

"Hold on," Hera called out to Derek, who was about to leave, and once again handed him her bank card. "Process the payment for half a month's reservation. Don't let this happen again."

Derek was startled. His mind started to race as he accepted the card in confusion. After checking with the hotel desk, he learned that Hera's previously canceled reservation was restored.

"Did you do that?" the manager asked in disbelief.

"After processing the payment, please send the card to the buffet restaurant on the second floor." Hera walked away immediately after shutting the room door.

As soon as she brushed past Bernard, he received a text.

Theo: "I never thought I'd see this day. Bernard, someone actually infiltrated your firewall!"
