Two hours later, Bernard leaned against the bed frame. The bathrobe hung loosely over his body, revealing the light scratch marks Hera left on his firm chest.

The atmosphere was thick with the lingering desire they had for one another. The blanket and Hera's clothes were strewn messily on the floor, suggesting how wild they had been earlier.

Bernard held the wine glass as he swirled it slowly. Hearing the sounds of running water in the bathroom made him gulp.

It seemed like his arousal for her had not faded away. He then took a sip of red wine to suppress his desires.

At that moment, the water stopped, followed by the sounds of the hairdryer.

Not long after, Hera stepped out in a bathrobe. Her still-damp, dark hair was completely swept to the left side, revealing several love bites on her flawless neck that made her seem very charming and seductive.

The bathrobe belt was tied around her waist carelessly, showing off her slender waist. The short hem made her legs seem long and graceful.

One glance at her made Bernard aroused all over again after resisting hard. She was far too seductive.

Hera picked up her own clothes from the floor before taking out a hundred-dollar Terranian bill. She had intended to give that to the restaurant server earlier as tips, but the server did not ask for any.

It seemed like Jadonia wasn't like Flowera, where Hera had to give tips often. Now, she could use that money.

"You performed quite well." Hera placed the money on the bedside table.

Bernard casually cast a glance at the hundred-dollar Terranian bill and scowled slightly. "What is this supposed to mean?"

Did Hera think he was a male prostitute? Even if he was, surely, he was worth more than this. What an insult!

Hera felt Bernard's gaze turning increasingly cold. She turned her back on him before taking off the bathrobe in front of him shamelessly.

After putting on her clothes, she turned back and said, "It's just money. We're both consenting adults. You're not expecting me to take responsibility for this, are you?"

She sounded so charming while speaking to him. The anger that had built up within Bernard seemed to fade away.

Hera was truly far too seductive. If she were to cry and ask him to take responsibility for their one-night stand, he would have killed her on the spot before she could even touch him.

Yet he was rather uneasy upon seeing how open-minded and charming she was being.

"Still alive?" Bernard asked in a low voice, sounding a little frustrated.

Anyone who wasn't familiar with him would've assumed that he was joking around. But Douglas knew that it was a sign that Bernard was about to lose his temper.

Douglas couldn't help but tremble. "Mr. Killian, I saw your message, but it seems like the person's information has been tampered with. It won't be easy to investigate her."

Theo hadn't responded to the WhatsApp group, so Douglas had no idea how to handle Bernard. Initially, he intended to drag it out for as long as he could.

Seeing that it wasn't possible anymore, Douglas could only find an excuse. Otherwise, he would be in deep trouble.

Bernard immediately ended the call before heading to another room and turning on his laptop.

Hera was silently relieved as soon as she shut the door.
