"Hera! You're back!" Tears welled up in Sarah's eyes. "I'm not dreaming, am I?"

She pinched her thigh hard to make sure she wasn't dreaming, and indeed, it hurt. It wasn't a dream!

"Isla! Come out here!" she hollered. "Hera's back! She's finally back!"

Sarah ran into the building as she called out. Hearing Sarah's calls, Isla ran out of the building without even setting aside the dishcloth.

"You brought Sarah and Isla to the clinic back then," Gino told Hera. "The one with the broom just now is Sarah, while the other is Isla."

"Hera! It's really you!" Isla rushed forth to hold Hera's hands.

Sarah walked around Hera, unable to believe her eyes. Hera was finally back!

She threw her arms around Hera. "This is wonderful! You're back! You're finally back! Our wait wasn't in vain!"

She started bawling her eyes out after that. Hera didn't like being in such close proximity to others, but Sarah's and Isla's enthusiasm made her suppress the urge to push them away.

Gino, on the other hand, couldn't stand it anymore. "Can you two hold it together? Hera got injured and lost her memories."

He hadn't even hugged Hera!

"You lost your memories?" Sarah wiped the tears from her cheeks. Although she couldn't believe it, she was worried for Hera. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," said Hera, shaking her head to reassure them. "I just can't remember what happened in the past. You can tell me about it, though. I'll try my best to remember what I can."

"Okay." Sarah nodded, comforted by Hera's words.

"Wow! Are these two cuties your and Bernard's kids? They're so cute!" Isla was surprised to see the twins.

If she looked closely at them, she could see that the twins had Hera's eyes and Bernard's nose and mouth. Dylan looked especially like Bernard with that stoic expression.

Hera headed inside with Isla and Sarah while Gino kept the twins company in the courtyard.

The clinic was a little shabby. It had an entrance hall, kitchen, pharmacy, and a lounge. They took patients in the hall. There was a rectangular dining table in one corner of the kitchen for patients to take their medicine.

The lounge was supposedly used as a corner for performing acupuncture for the patients. However, the number of patients dwindled until the lounge gradually turned into Sarah and Isla's sleeping quarters.

The only staff left in the clinic were Isla and Sarah. From Catherine, Isla learned acupuncture and diagnosis, so she was in charge of diagnosing the patients. Meanwhile, Sarah was responsible for preparing the medicine and medicinal meals. Both of them cleaned up the place together.

Still, there weren't many people who came to the clinic. Their income couldn't cover their expenses. If it weren't for the Everetts and a few regular customers, the clinic would've stopped operating for good a long time ago. For now, the money they earned could only cover the rent and utility bills.

When they were sent out of the courtyard house back then, the two herbalists who were hired to replace Everly resigned. Catherine didn't want to cause more trouble. To save on rent, she moved the clinic to this alleyway.

Thanks to the clinic's fame, they received plenty of patients at first. But Catherine became ill and passed away sometime later, and lots of patients stopped coming to the clinic after learning that Sarah and Isla were the only staff remaining.

As time passed, the clinic fell into this poor state, hanging by a thread and barely making it through another month.
