Bernard saw that Hera's genuine smile was nothing like the seductive smirk she had whenever she was with him. She seemed more authentic at that moment in comparison to her contrived behavior around him.

Bernard boarded his private plane from the airport's VIP lane with an icy expression.

Samson, who had been following behind, could feel that something was off about Bernard. Although Bernard always maintained a solemn expression, he seemed vastly different from usual.

Bernard sat in his seat, gazing at his phone as if he were texting someone. Although the cabin was clearly heated, the atmosphere surrounding Bernard seemed rather cold and unusually eerie.

The plane was about to take off, but no one dared to approach Bernard to remind him to switch his phone to airplane mode.

"Bernard, the plane's going to take off soon." In the end, Samson approached Bernard and reminded him in a low voice.

After sending the message, Bernard stared at his phone for five minutes. However, there was no response from her.

As he recalled how affectionate Hera was with Vanta, Bernard was suddenly inexplicably angry at her for not replying to his message.

"Bernard, can we take off?" Samson came over to urge Bernard after checking the time again.

Samson sighed in relief before gesturing to the captain to take off.

Once the plane was flying steadily in the air, Samson settled himself in a comfortable position. He intended to take a nap before the upcoming storm.

"What does it feel like to love someone?" Bernard suddenly inquired.

Samson scratched his head. "How should I describe this feeling? You find her very special and different from other women.

"But I was far too busy with work and didn't have much time to consider dating her. By the time I thought of her during my spare time, she already had a boyfriend and was planning to get married."

"Serves you right for being single," Bernard answered.

Samson said, "I didn't ask for it. I was just busy with work."

The atmosphere suddenly grew quiet. Samson found Bernard's question to be quite odd.
