The front desk began to describe Hera's clothes.
The security guard immediately yelled into his walkie-talkie, alerting all the security guards on every floor.
"There's a female intruder dressed in a gray long trench coat and blue skinny jeans. She's now heading for the top floor. Capture anyone who seems suspicious!"
"Got it!" The guards on the top floor immediately stood at the elevators, waiting to capture whoever came out through the doors.
The elevator dinged as it reached the top floor. The doors slid open, but there was no sign of anyone inside.
"There's no one in the elevator! Check the fire exits."
Hera stepped out from the fire exits, ready to climb another floor to reach Theo's office. The moment she walked out, she heard footsteps rushing down the corridor, along with the alert of an intruder through the walkie-talkie.
The sounds of footsteps seemed to be just around the corner, so Hera hurriedly pushed open a random door and stepped inside.
The office resembled a study decorated with vintage decor and had a suite attached. There was no one in the office area.
Hera looked at the ceiling and sighed in relief upon realizing there was no surveillance camera. She decided to remain here for a while. Once the security outside was gone, she would leave.
"Hera?" Lucius' voice drifted from behind.
Hera looked back in shock. The sight of Lucius walking out of the suite left her in a daze.
He looked to be in his 40s and was dressed in a well-tailored black suit. He had chiseled features, striking eyebrows, a tall nose bridge, and thin lips.
Lucius' eyes were strikingly similar to Bernard's. Hera found Lucius rather familiar as if she had met him somewhere before.
"Hera! It's really you! You're back!" Lucius hadn't been certain earlier. When she turned around this time, he saw that she hadn't changed much over the past five years, but she did seem more mature.
He happily approached her before looking her all over. "You're not dead. You're really back. This is amazing! Where have you been all these years? Have you been well?"
Hera stared at him. His anxious voice suddenly seemed very similar to a man's voice that popped up in her memories.
How could she have forgotten the hatred that took root within her heart for more than ten years? Daphne's tragic death, Lucius' unfair conviction, and the torture Hera went through to find out the truth.
"Hera!" Seeing that Hera had suddenly fainted, Lucius quickly held her in his arms before laying her on the couch. He then called for his private doctor, Carlos Chime.
When Carlos arrived at the company, the front desk and security were terrified to see him. They wondered if Hera had injured Lucius.
Carlos rushed toward Lucius' office, followed by Lucius' assistant, Lester Monroe, and the security guards.
Lucius opened the door and scowled upon seeing so many people. He only permitted Carlos to enter.
"Mr. Killian, are you okay?" Lester asked quickly.
"I'm fine. Don't come in, and stop making a fuss." Once he finished speaking, Lucius shut the door before leading Carlos over to the couch.
"Carlos, quickly have a look at her. How is she?"
