"What the hell is this all about?"

Finnian was both shocked and furious when he finally realized what was happening.

Standing inside Amara's closet, surrounded by her soft clothes and the subtle scent coming off them, he held onto Amara's wrist, preventing her from leaving.

"I need to meet someone outside. Could you please stay here for a bit and not come out? I'm really sorry about this."

Amara was practically babbling, avoiding Finnian's eyes. She assumed being shoved into a closet like this was probably the most mortifying situation Finnian had ever experienced, but she was out of options. She just had to get through this mess first.

She forcefully pulled her wrist from Finnian's grip, shut the closet door with a thud under his incredulous gaze, and then closed the bedroom door before heading to open the door for Keith.

"Ama, are you okay?"

Keith stood outside the door. He had been on a show and looked quite dashing, though now his hair was slightly ruffled, and his face was full of concern, clearly having rushed over.

He took Amara's wrist, giving her a quick once-over, and then pulled down her mask to make sure she was unharmed before he finally relaxed.

Amara had been a bit panicked by the whole situation, but seeing Keith so worried about her made her burst into a giggle, her fear inexplicably dissipating.

"I'm fine, really. Why'd you rush over here all of a sudden?"

"I just got off the show and heard from Cedric that you got mobbed as soon as you left the set. Did you have to run out? You're not hurt, right?"

Even though he'd already checked her over, Keith couldn't help but ask, his protective instincts kicking in.

Finnian, standing at a tall six feet two, looked quite cramped in the closet. It was dark in there, like being locked in a small room. By the time Amara let him out, his expression was anything but pleasant.

"Who was that just now?" Finnian asked, smoothing his hair, his face clouded and his tone anything but friendly.

"Was it that actor friend of yours?"

"Yeah," Amara admitted, feeling a bit guilty.

No matter how she looked at it, Finnian had just saved her from the reporters, and she had repaid him by shoving him into a closet.

"I'm really sorry about earlier. Everything happened so fast. Please don't take it to heart. I'll make it up to you another day."
