Tiffany couldn't really argue with it. After trying a bit, she was surprised at how good the meat tasted and felt. It definitely didn't seem like it came from a sick pig, so she felt somewhat relieved.

Seeing Tiffany's reaction, Mandy quietly breathed a sigh of relief.

After the meal, Mandy sneaked into the pantry to call Vince. "Vince, seriously? Charging six dollars for BBQ spare ribs almost freaked Tiffany out!"

"She didn't eat lunch?" Vincent's voice came through.

"She did. But come on, even if you're trying to give her a nutritional boost, couldn't you be a bit more reasonable?

"Charging six dollars for BBQ spare ribs a serving? I wouldn't even touch that myself. Good thing I was around today. Otherwise, Tiffany wouldn't have dared to eat a single bite."

"Okay, I'll have Alex sort it out later," Vincent replied after a pause. Then he couldn't resist asking, "How's her appetite been these days? Is she still vomiting a lot?"

"She's been alright. I've noticed she always carries some pickles in her bag. You know, my mom used to say sour cravings mean it's a boy. Could Tiffany be pregnant with a boy?"

"Pickles, huh?" Vincent seemed to focus on that. "Alright, got it."

Then he hung up.

Mandy rolled her eyes. "What's up with him? I mentioned, 'Sour cravings mean it's a boy,' but he's suddenly all upset."

Vincent held the phone in his hand, still hearing Mandy's words about sour cravings echoing in his mind. How could he feel happy when the child wasn't even his?

Despite the pleasant view outside, he couldn't appreciate it. Every spare moment seemed to be consumed by thoughts of Tiffany. After a week of being away, he found himself dreaming about her five out of seven nights…

Vincent seriously doubted Jacob's advice had any merit. He thought distance would ease the emotions, but staying apart only seemed to amplify his longing for Tiffany.

He followed Jacob's suggestion and flew out for a business trip, hoping to distract himself. Yet, the impact was minimal. His yearning for Tiffany was only growing stronger.

"Mr. Lewis, the client sent over a revised contract. Can you take a look?" Alex placed the document in front of him.

Vincent glanced over it briefly before closing it. "Alex, please inform the company not to drastically reduce cafeteria prices."

"Understood."

"Mr. Lewis is really going above and beyond!"

"Mr. Lewis is awesome!"

"Looks like it's time to shop tonight!"

"Aww, it's been forever since I've had steak! Let's make it happen tonight!"

The office was filled with a harmonious atmosphere, with everyone sporting smiles.

Tiffany was delighted as well. With her improved appetite, she not only enjoyed meals but also treated herself to some appetizing snacks.

With her check-up looming, she had been concerned about finances, but the timely arrival of her salary was a relief. She promptly scheduled her prenatal check-up in three days.

She had intended to buy some snacks after work. But upon entering the break room, she found an abundance of them already stocked.
