It turned out Eric and Teresa had been denied access. William had obviously been too disdainful of Eric to give him the full address.

"It's my fault." William put on an apologetic look. "I only gave you the location without telling you the exact address."

Eric waved a hand. "It's fine, it's fine. It hasn't been long since we arrived, anyway. This way, we can head inside with you guys. At least we won't have to feel awkward."

William nodded. "Should we head inside, then?"

"Of course!" Eric said ingratiatingly. "You guys lead the way. We'll follow behind."

Tiffany looked around as William drove into the neighborhood.

"What are you looking for?" he asked.

The neighborhood's roads were lined with trees and plants. Tiffany retracted her gaze. "Nothing."

William continued driving. "Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. My brother will be joining us, too."

"Mr. Lewis?"

"Yeah." William glanced at her in the rearview mirror. "That's why you'd better not say anything about the baby not being mine. He might get suspicious."

Tiffany bit her lip without saying anything. She had intended to make things clear with William's parents. But if Vincent was present, she couldn't just say whatever she wanted.

There was no point pulling her hair out of the situation now that she was already here. She could only go with the flow and play things by ear.

She thought William had merely been scaring her, but Vincent really did come! And he wasn't alone. Kelly and Anna were with him.

"Mrs. Lewis Senior?" Teresa was surprised to see Anna.

She and Tiffany stepped forward to welcome Anna.

"Huh? Isn't this Teri and Tiff? What a coincidence seeing you two here!" Anna was happy to see them. Kelly had been supporting her, but she shook Kelly off to hold Teresa's and Tiffany's hands.

Kelly's expression shifted. Soon, however, her smile returned. She stood behind Anna and said, "You don't know about this, Mrs. Lewis Senior? Tiffany is William's girlfriend."

"What?" Anna was shocked, but her disbelief was stronger. "When… when did this happen? Why didn't I hear anything about this?"

Teresa smiled bitterly. "Even I didn't know about it."
