Teresa couldn't work as a nutritionist at Vincent's home anymore.

Eric didn't hesitate to scold her. He had been treating her horribly these days.

Teresa felt guilty and remorseful. She lost her appetite and couldn't sleep well.

When she went downstairs to throw the trash in the morning, she almost got hit by a car.

The garbage fell to the ground, and the car barely stopped in time. It brushed against her knee before coming to an abrupt halt.

She felt a bit scared and shrank her hand back when she recalled what happened last time. "I lied to you only to protect myself back then. You're not still concerned about that, are you?"

Concerned? Did he show up here several times just to intimidate her?

Leon stared into her eyes and asked, "Do I look like a bad person to you?"

Teresa nodded sincerely. "You definitely don't look like a good person!"

Who would think a good person would look so fierce?

She felt that Leon's appearance could easily scare the passing children into tears.

Leon's eyes flickered slightly. "Aren't you afraid of me? Why are you taking me home?"

Teresa explained, "Don't get me wrong. There's a water source in the garden outside my home. You can wash your hands there."

Although he had helped her pick up the trash, she wasn't naive enough to relax her guard against him just because of that.

She just felt that this was something she should do since the garbage had dirtied his hands. There was no place downstairs for him to clean up.

"Let's go." Teresa turned and walked into the building.

Leon stood still for a few seconds before following her.

The garden in Teresa's apartment complex wasn't big, but she kept it clean. There were also some flowers and plants, among which a peony was blooming the most beautifully.

She took out some hand soap from the cabinet and placed it on the sink. "You can use this to clean your hands."

As Leon turned on the tap, Eric walked out of the elevator. His gaze was unfriendly as he glanced at Leon. "Who's this?"
