That night, Tiffany stayed in the hospital room with Teresa and slept in the bed beside hers.

All night long, she kept dreaming about what happened in the pantry—the way Vincent grabbed her hand and the things he said. The dream plagued her sleep, leaving her tired and distracted when she woke up.

"Tiff?" Teresa called out as she studied Tiffany.

Tiffany sat up in bed before responding, "Yeah, Teri?"

"Is something on your mind?" Teresa asked in concern.

"No," Tiffany said while shaking her head, but she sat motionless in bed for a while. She only got up and went to the bathroom to get ready when Eric came over with breakfast.

When she came back out of the bathroom, she saw Eric feeding Teresa oatmeal.

"I bought you some oatmeal too, Tiff. Eat up," Eric said with a smile.

Tiffany pulled on her jacket as she replied coolly, "No need."

She walked up to the bed and said to Teresa, "I'm going to work now, Teri. I'll come by this evening."

"Okay. I'll see you later," Teresa replied.

Tiffany had a few interviews to attend that day, but before that, she had to get a prenatal check-up.

Once it was her turn to see the doctor, she knocked on the examination room. However, the doctor was still treating the patient behind the privacy curtain. Tiffany was told to wait.

She sat down on the stool by the door. Moments later, she heard a familiar voice ringing out from behind the privacy curtain.

"Everything's fine with my pregnancy, right, doctor?"

Tiffany stiffened. That sounded like Brianna speaking.

"Due to your past abortion, your uterine wall has thinned. That led to an unstable attachment of the embryo to the lining. Considering the bleeding that has occurred, I'm afraid things don't look too good right now."

"Doctor, you have to save my baby! It's too important to me! I can't lose this baby!" Brianna cried out frantically.

Sighing, the doctor said, "All I can say is I'll try my best."

The privacy curtain was drawn back, revealing the doctor and Brianna. Upon seeing Tiffany, Brianna paled.

"I know what you want to say. Don't worry. I didn't hear a thing," Tiffany replied. She tried to leave, but Brianna stopped her.

"I don't trust you, Tiffany," Brianna declared.

Frowning, Tiffany replied, "That's your prerogative."

She flung Brianna's hand off hers before heading for the escalator.

"Hold it right there, Tiffany!" Brianna screamed.

Tiffany looked around and saw Brianna coming after her, so she sped up to get away.

By the time Brianna went down the escalator, she saw no sign of Tiffany.

Noticing the surgical theaters all around, Brianna wondered if Tiffany had hidden herself in one of them, so she started searching each one.

Just then, the doors to one of the surgical theaters opened, and the hospital staff rolled a patient out on a hospital bed. Brianna glanced at the patient before exclaiming with widened eyes, "Ms. Harrison?"

Kelly was indeed the patient lying on the hospital bed. Having just gone through an artificial insemination procedure, she was feeling some discomfort and had her eyes closed.
