Joyce didn't tell Tiffany what happened. She only said Tiffany would understand once she paid a visit to the Lewis residence.

Clutching Tiffany's hand tightly, Joyce insisted, "Tiff, you're the only one who can save William from himself!"

Feeling bad for Joyce, Tiffany agreed to her request.

The next day, Teresa was discharged from the hospital. She hadn't fully recovered from her injuries yet, and her face was still covered in bruises.

She kept a hat and mask on as she made her way home. Each time she ran into a neighbor, she would make sure to avoid having to greet them.

After entering the house, Teresa immediately noticed the changes. It had been a mess before this, but everything was neatly organized now.

The windows were open, and there was a pot of flowers on the table. The scent of the flowers masked the herbal smell that used to permeate every inch of the house.

Eric helped Teresa into a pair of house slippers while saying, "I threw away all those herbal concoctions. Now that you're pregnant, you don't need to drink those things anymore."

Then, he led her to the master bedroom and said, "I tidied up the bedroom too. Have a look, dear."

The bedroom had changed a lot too. Everything looked new.

Even the bed linen was new and embroidered with Teresa's favorite tulips.

Tiffany, who was standing behind Teresa, reminded Eric icily, "Don't think that by doing all of this, you can make up for abusing Teri. I still have the photos and the videos. If you do it again, I'll make sure the baby dies, even if I have to strangle it myself!"

"You've always been such a gentle and mild-mannered young woman, Tiff. I never thought you'd say something so vicious," Eric commented with an awkward smile.

"She's just being protective of me," Teresa said.

"Yes, of course," Eric said agreeably. "By the way, you'll be graduating in a few weeks, Tiff. Since you have to move out of your dorm soon, I prepared your room for you as well."

He opened the door to the room Tiffany used to stay in. It was all tidied up, and there was a brand new desk with a desktop computer on it.

"If I recall correctly, you've been wanting to get a computer, right? Check this one out. If you need anything else, let me know, and I'll get it for you!" Eric declared.

Brianna looked up in shock. The moment she saw Tiffany, her eyes seemed to glaze over.

After a few seconds, she finally snapped back to her senses and reacted by jumping to her feet. "Tiffany? What are you doing here? Are you here to snitch on me?"

Tiffany was speechless, but she replied, "Mrs. Lewis invited me over."

"Why would Mom invite you over for no reason?" Brianna snapped. She was beside herself with fear. "Did you say something to her? I'm warning you. You better not run your mouth!"

Tiffany eyed her closely. She got the feeling that something was off about Brianna. "Are you sick?"

"You're the one who's sick! I'm perfectly fine!" Brianna retorted before shoving Tiffany. "Get out of here now! You're not welcome here!"

"You're here, Tiff," Joyce greeted as she stepped out of the house with a plate of pastries.

Brianna had no choice but to let go of Tiffany, but she continued to scowl at her.
