Tiffany was taken aback by Alex's question. She asked him in a small voice, "Didn't you tell me to bring something to take notes?"

She held up her black leather notebook and looked at him innocently. He couldn't help laughing at this.

"I meant your laptop; I can't believe you brought nothing but a notebook along. There's going to be a lot of points you'll need to take down later. Aren't you worried you'll get a carpal tunnel or something?"

This was Tiffany's first time attending such a meeting, so she had no experience with these things. Naturally, she hadn't given the matter much thought.

Besides, she only had one laptop—it was one Eric had used during his university days. She usually kept it in her dorm.

Even if she'd brought it along, it probably would've died on her halfway through the meeting. Wouldn't things be even worse then? After some thought, she said, "It's fine. I'm a fast writer."

Vincent, who was sitting in front of them, turned his head slightly to look at them. He told Alex, "Give her mine."

"Yes, sir." Alex didn't stand on ceremony. He got up, took the laptop in front of Vincent, and handed it to Tiffany.

The conference room was silent; several pairs of eyes were focused on Vincent. Occasionally, some curious gazes would land on Tiffany.

It was because they'd never seen Vincent with a female assistant since Lewis Group's inception. This was a rare sight.

Tiffany was the shy type; she was flustered by these actions. "No, it's fine…"

Alex stuffed the laptop into her hands. "Mr. Lewis wants you to use it, so just take it. There's no need to be so polite."

Tiffany was lost for words. Polite? No, she was just humiliated.

The silver laptop was very thin and didn't weigh much as she placed it on her lap. The screen's refresh rate was also abnormally high—it worked much better than hers.

It didn't take her long to get used to it; her fingers started flying over the keyboard.

Vincent could see her slender fingers whenever he turned his head slightly. This was his first time realizing that her hands were rather pretty.

Vincent raised an eyebrow. For some reason, his throat felt a little dry. He feigned calmness as he tugged on his cuffs and looked away.

He could still smell Tiffany's faint fragrance, though. It tickled his senses and distracted him throughout the meeting.

After the meeting, Tiffany went to the restroom. Vincent watched her leave, looking thoughtful.

"Mr. Lewis?" Alex interrupted his train of thought. At the same time, he noticed something amiss with the look on Vincent's face. "Is something wrong?"

"Don't you think…" Vincent started. "Don't you think something's wrong with Tiffany?"

"Huh?" Alex was bemused. "What do you mean by that, sir?"
