Logan was every woman’s dream guy. After all, he was the youngest and most promising CEO. 

He was like the ultimate male protagonist straight out of a novel. 

Sonia was so close yet so far from him. She was almost there, but she still couldn’t see his face at all. “Wait, when did I finish my food?” 

Jacob replied coldly, “You were too busy looking at handsome men. Do you still need more food?” “Did you eat my food?” 

“It’s not good to waste food, so I finished it for you.” 

Sonia was stunned. 

Jacob was usually picky, yet he ate her food. 

“I only ate the parts you hadn’t touched.” 

Sonia was speechless. 

She angrily grabbed her empty plate and went to get more food. 

In the end, food was more reliable. 

No matter how attractive a man was, it was pointless if she couldn’t even get a look at them. 

Sonia thought Lorraine had the right attitude. She never daydreamed or showed interest in the eldest son of the Moores. As Lorraine put it, their paths would never cross with someone like him. 

When Sonia came back with more food, she saw the senior executives heading out again. This time, she had no interest in joining the crowd. 

She just continued eating and commented, “The CEO was here for less than 10 minutes and is already leaving.”

Jacob remained silent. 

They never questioned Logan’s whereabouts.

Still thinking about draining his rival’s wallet, Logan made a brief appearance and briefly chatted with the Jenkinses. He then excused himself, saying he had some urgent business to attend to. His security team escorted him out of the door. 

At the door, he unexpectedly ran into Benjamin, also accompanied by a group of bodyguards. 

They exchanged glances and both stopped. 

“Mr. Hathe, running a bit late, aren’t you?” 

Benjamin smirked. “I’ve just arrived, but you’re leaving so soon. Mr. Moore, are you avoiding me?” 

“You are always so shameless, trying to flatter yourself. But go ahead and act all high and mighty. One day, if the Hathe Corporation goes bankrupt, let’s see what you’re going to do.” 

Their sharp exchange left onlookers silent. Although there weren’t any curse words, Logan’s remark was cruel. 

Benjamin didn’t seem fazed by the jab. He even touched his face and replied, “You’re right, Mr. Moore. I do have thick skin.” 

“People like you often end up single and become old bachelors.” 

Ever since Logan got married, he enjoyed rubbing it in his rival’s face, especially knowing Benjamin couldn’t forget about Carol. 

Benjamin shot back. “You’re talking as if you’re taken. I might be older, but haven’t you heard? The older, the better.” 

Logan countered, “Old men like you just taste bad.” 

Benjamin was momentarily speechless.
