Joslin said with a smile, “I’ll just try a couple 1 like Sentennial cherries the best,” 

Since Lorraine mentioned that the Sentennial cherries weren’t ripe yet, Joslin had a perfect excuse to amid potential mouth sores from eating too many cherries. 

Lorraine quickly responded, “Sentennial cherries will be hitting the shelves soon. If you like them, I’ll send over a few baskets once they’re ripe.” 

Joslin didn’t respond, but Hestia couldn’t help but stile her laughter 

Logan was speechless because he knew his family wasn’t fond of cherries. 

“Lorraine,” Joslin quickly changed the subject. 

She took off her emerald bracelet and put it on Lorraine’s waist. “You’ve joined the family, but I don’t have much to give you, so I’m giving you this emerald bracelet. This was given to me by Logan’s great–grandmother when I married his father Now, I want you to have it“. 

Lorraine declined politely, “Mom, this is too valuable. I can’t accept it. You should keep it.” 

Even though she grew up in the countryside, she was pretty familiar with gemstones. Her uncle’s family ran a jewelry business. 

During her adventurous youth, she often traveled with him to appraise gemstones in different states. Under his guidance, she learned a great deal about gemstones. 

So, when Joslin gave her the emerald bracelet, Lorraine instantly knew it was of the highest quality and truly priceless. 

“It’s really not worth much, so don’t feel any pressure,” Joslin reassured. 

She wasn’t aware of Lorraine’s expertise in gemstones, so she used a little white lie to persuade her to accept the gift. “If you don’t take it, I might think you don’t like me.” Feeling somewhat helpless, Lorraine turned to Logan for help. 

He knew how much Joslin loved jewelry and that she had worn that bracelet for over a decade. After receiving the subtle distress signal from Lorrame, he helped her decline his mother’s valuable gift “Mom, I’ll buy Lorraine whatever she needs” 

“It’s not about what she needs. This is a gift,” Joslin clarified 

Hestia chimed in, “Lorraine, It’s a gift from your mother–in–law, so please accept it. She really likes you. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be giving you something so precious. If you refuse it, she might feel hurt” 

Lorraine glanced at Logan again. He nodded, and she reluctantly accepted Joslin’s gift. She wondered how his great–grandmother could afford such a valuable bracelet. It led her to ponder whether the Moores had once been wealthy or af Hestia came from an aristocrat family 

Hestia said, “Talso have a gift for you, but it’s too big to bring here. I’ll give it to you when you come home with Logan to meet the rest of the family.” 

She knew that Joslin had offered the bracelet to steer the conversation away from eating the cherries. It was clear that Joslin was quite fond of Lorraine, especially since she was willing to give such a valuable gif. 

Lorraine soon realized that her in–laws weren’t keen on eating the cherries when they only took a few betore stopping. When no one was looking, she discreetly pinched Logan’s arm He looked at her in confusion. 

She glazed at him, but he still didn’t grasp what he had done wrong. Realizing he didn’t get her point, she ignored him and suggested, “Grandma, Mom, how about we head back to my place? It’s quite hot here.” 

Hestia and Joslin didn’t mind at all. Since they were already there, they figured they might as well meet their in–laws. They rode with their driver while Larraine led the way in her pickup track with Login beside her. 

As they drow, Logan asked, “Why did you pinch me earlier?”
