“Let’s go home. It’s a holiday tomorrow, Lorraine said. 

Logan was jealous, but he kept it to himself. He helped Finnegan and Lana in the pickup truck while Lorraine climbed into the back seat with them since her pickup truck lacked child safety seats. 

Logan shot her a frustrated yet yearning glance, but she didn’t notice. With a sigh, he settled into the driver’s seat. 

He planned to call Michael as soon as they got home to arrange for two child safety seats to be installed in Lorraine’s truck the next day. That way, the kids could ride safely in the back, and she could sit next to him.
