Chapter Bo 

Logan chuckled. “You have yet to run into someone you love. Once you do, you’ll readily marry her, even if you think marriage is a place where love goes to die.” 

William responded, “The best I can do is have a relationship, not a marriage” 

“That’ll be too unfair for the lady unless you manage to find someone who doesn’t want to get married like you do. Otherwise, she’ll certainly move on from you when she realizes there’s no chance she’ll get married to you. She’ll find another man who will marry her instead.” 

“If she leaves me, it mems she doesn’t love me from the bottom of her brant, She’s free to go. I’ll just find another lady.” Witham didn’t really care about it. 

Logan chuckled. “Forget in I’m not going to talk about this with you. You’re st single now, so you don’t know how good it feels to be in love and married to someone. With that said, you’re going to regret it if you keep this sort of mindset with you It’s only a matter of time. 

“The pain of losing someone you love is worse than death.” 

Wiliam chuckled. “Have you been through that sort of pain? 

“Not exactly. I won’t go through it either.” 

Logan was going to win Lorraine’s heart step by step. 

“What if Angela comes back? 

“Don’t talk about her in front of me. So what it she returns? She’s the reason Terence is dead. And she abandoned bath of her kids. Do you think she’s going to come back?” William responded hastily, “It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have brought her up. Don’t get mad, or you’re going to get wrinides and age faster. You’re already older than Lorraine by several years. If you age too fast, she’s going to think that you’re too old for her.” 

Logan fell quiet for a while and toned down his voice, “That’s all I’m going to hang up now. Tomorrow’s Easter Happy Easter, William.” 

“Thank You too, Logan.” 

Logan ended the call and put his phone aside. Leaning back on the couch, he raised his head to look at the ceiling 

Angela Welkin was a prohibited topic for him now. He didn’t want to hear her name. However, he couldn’t remove her from the deepest part of his memory. 

Logan, Angela, and Terence grew up together. In fact, she was Terrince’s childhood sweetheart. He loved her with all his heart and soud 

Logan started keeping a distance from her the moment he w Terence loved her. The last thing he wanted was for his best friend to be jealous of him. 

Angela and Terence’s relationship progressed steadily. They had a crush on each other, for starters. Then, they got together before getting married several years later. They were a lovely couple. A lot of people used to want the kind of marriage they had.. 

No one knew when it started, but Angela changed. She became cold and distant. 

It became more apparent after she got pregnant and intended to abort the babies on several occasions. Torence and Angela fought countless times over their children as well Terence ended his own life by jumping off a building. It rained on the day that he died. He plunged to his death and cracked his skull. The rainwater mixed with the blood seeping from his head and stained the ground 

By the time Logan arrived, he saw the pool of red. It had been several years since, but he could still see it with perfect clarity in his mind. Every time he thought about it, his hatred for Angela burned with a vengeance. 

After all, she was there before Terence killed himselt. Not only did she not stop him from plunging to his death, but she actually pushed him to do it. 

Angela told Terence to do it already if he really wanted to kill himself and that she didn’t have much time to waste on him. 

Terence had loved her deeply, but she repaid him by saying something that cold–blooded, overwhelmed with despair, he actually jumped off the building and died there and then. Angela went missing after Terence died. Logan didn’t even have the chance to interrogate her for the reason behind it all. 

Angela also abandoned her three–month–old babies when she left. The Quall family resented her for Terence’s death and took it out on Luna and Finnegan. After all, Angela was their mother. 

The Wilkins were too ashamed to see the Qualls because of Angela’s part in Terence’s death. So, the entire family moved out of Glendale. 

Logan was Terence’s best friend, and the kids were innocent as well. They were Terence’s flesh and blood when all was said and done. There was no way Logan could send them off to the orphanage 

In the end, Logan adopted Luna and Finnegan.
