As Faye and Johnny walked down the stairs, Johnny spoke earnestly, "You're 22 now. It might be time to think seriously about finding a good match. Do you have anyone special in mind?"

"Dad, why are you in such a hurry? I have plenty of suitors," Fiona said with a shy smile.

"That won't work. If you're too picky, you could end up single for quite a while. As a woman gets older, she becomes less appealing. If you don't act soon, you might end up with someone who's been overlooked by others.

"I remember you mentioning Otto Sheridan. I thought he seemed like a good match. If you married him, I'd feel much more at ease," Johnny remarked, his concern evident.

"Come on, Dad, stop teasing me!"

"I'm serious. If you really like him, I'm willing to propose on your behalf. Times have changed; it doesn't matter who makes the first move. If you don't act on this opportunity, someone else might."

Fiona shyly pressed her lips together and rested her head on Johnny's shoulder. "Alright, alright, I'll do my best to find a suitable match in the city. But let's save that discussion for tomorrow. For now, you should focus on what you're going to say to impress everyone tonight."

Johnny, unable to argue further, decided to let the matter go.
