What on earth was going on between Helen and Otto?

Jenson was taken aback that Helen hadn't turned down Otto's advances—could she be developing feelings for him?

Otto might be decent-looking, but he was significantly older than Chandler. While the Sheridan family was wealthier than the Newtons, Chandler's potential as a rising star was remarkable.

Nevertheless, Jenson recognized that he was pushing the comparison too far. A promising talent couldn't truly compete with someone who already possessed significant wealth and influence.

After all, which woman could resist a man who is not only wealthy and attractive but also committed to defending her?

Still, Jenson didn't think Helen was the type to be easily swayed. Perhaps he was just overthinking the situation.

Regardless, Jenson knew one thing for certain—he needed to find Chandler and make sure he worked on building a stronger relationship with Helen.

In the car, Helen glared at the four million dollar check with mounting irritation.

Suppressing her frustration, she turned to Otto and asked, "Why are you making decisions for me and accepting money from the Cunningham family? Is Destiny Corporation really so desperate for funds?"

Otto briefly glanced at her before refocusing on the road, responding calmly, "Johnny Cunningham is a shrewd operator. If you had pressed the issue, he could have easily pretended to be ill and shifted the blame onto you.

"He might have even painted you as petty, potentially making you responsible for the Cunningham family's misfortunes."

Helen scoffed, prepared to dismiss any concerns about public opinion.

But before she could respond, Otto continued, "I understand that you don't care much about what others think, but gossip can be powerful. Even a few voices can escalate a minor issue into a major scandal.

"Sometimes, a temporary concession is necessary to avoid larger problems. It doesn't mean you're afraid of the Cunninghams. There are smarter ways to handle them without getting dragged through the mud."

He drove out of the suburbs and into a high-end residential area, eventually stopping in front of a villa.

After stepping out of the car, Otto made his way straight to the door and opened it. Helen followed behind, taking a moment to survey her new surroundings.

The neighborhood had a spacious layout, with ample distance between homes. It seemed that the residents probably had little interaction with one another.

"Come on in," Otto called as he entered the house.

Helen hesitated for a moment before following him. By the time she stepped inside, Otto was already busy in the kitchen.

"What are you up to?" Helen asked, watching in confusion as Otto changed out of his suit and put on an apron.

"I'm just preparing a meal," Otto replied without looking up. "I noticed you didn't eat much at Cunningham Residence, and I thought you might prefer staying in rather than dining out. So, I decided to whip up something light for you."
