Chandler nodded and turned toward the door. "Bring her in."

As his words faded, Carles entered, escorting Julia in handcuffs.

Julia's eyes widened in surprise upon seeing Helen alive and standing next to Chandler. It didn't take her long to piece together what had happened.

"So, you faked your death to deceive everyone, huh?" Julia sneered. "It's a shame you only managed to catch me. Zac won't be fooled by this trick again!"

Chandler's face remained stoic as he addressed Carles. "You're dismissed."

"Understood," Carles replied with a respectful nod. He then closed the door behind him and stood guard outside.

As soon as the door clicked shut, Chandler's expression turned serious.

"Zac is out there on his own and likely struggling. Capturing you doesn't really benefit me much. If you're willing to make a deal, I can arrange for you to go free."

Helen was puzzled. Why would Chandler go through all the effort of capturing Julia only to let her go?

Despite her confusion, Helen trusted that Chandler had a plan, so she kept her thoughts to herself.

Julia sneered. "If I had the guts to come here, it means I'm not afraid of dying. Do you really think I'd be scared whether you let me go or not?"

"I'm aware you're not afraid of death," Chandler said nonchalantly as he stepped closer. Towering over her, he met her gaze and asked, "But I'm curious—are you afraid of losing Zac?"

"What are you getting at?" Julia asked, her composure starting to crack.

"You know as well as anyone that Zac can't survive in this city without your assistance. I could easily spend a fortune to have both underground gangs and law enforcement search for him intensively.

"You're insane!" Julia yelled. "Even if it costs me my life, I won't betray Zac!"

In a burst of rage, she spat at Chandler's face. "I thought you were a man of honor, but it turns out you rely on deceitful tactics. How dare you question my loyalty to Zac?"

Chandler calmly took out a handkerchief and wiped the spit from his face. As he did, he murmured to himself, "If you don't cooperate, I'll have to take more extreme measures."

Chandler's eyes narrowed as he threw the handkerchief against the wall. With a grim, determined look, he shouted toward the door, "Carles! Execute the original plan immediately. Zac must be found tonight—dead or alive!"

Carles entered promptly, his voice firm and respectful. "Yes, sir! I'll issue the orders right away."

He pulled out his phone, quickly dialed a number, and raised it to his ear. "Hello—"

"No, stop!"
