With tear-streaked face, Helen left the room. Chandler promptly stepped forward and held her in his arms.

"Did Mr. Charlie scold you?" he asked softly.

Helen leaned against his chest, gently nuzzling him. "No."

"Then why are you crying?" Chandler asked, loosening his embrace.

Helen held out the key Charlie had given her. "Look at this."

"What's that?" Chandler asked.

"It's the key to my family's safe," Helen explained. "Grandpa said we're responsible for the Spencer family's assets now, but I have to keep the key."

Chandler chuckled softly. "Mr. Charlie asked me to step out so he could provide you with a backup plan, and now you're telling me all about it."

Helen smiled warmly. "Isn't honesty essential in a marriage? I didn't want to keep anything from you."

Chandler's gaze grew somber at her words. He tightened his embrace and gently rested his chin on her soft, tousled hair.

"Helly, I need to be honest with you too. Right now, there are things I have to handle and parts of my identity that must remain hidden. But please trust me—no matter who I am or how things change, I will never hurt you and will always love you.

"I promise you're my one and only exception—there's no one else for me."

Helen embraced him tightly, letting out a deep breath. "I believe you."

Both she and Chandler were far from ordinary; they bore responsibilities and missions they couldn't escape from. Bound by these duties, they decided to embrace their roles and support each other as their strongest allies.

In choosing to be together, she vowed to give him her unwavering trust.

"By the way," Helen interjected, suddenly recalling the specialized preparatory program, "The University of Glendale is launching an advanced physics program with some international partners. I'm planning to apply and see if I can discover which organization is behind it."

"I've heard that the University of Glendale is launching a specialized preparatory program. Is that right?" Chandler asked directly.

"Yes, that's correct," Jacob responded courteously. "Is there something specific you need information about?"

"Not exactly. I just wanted to see if you could add a name to the list for me."

"Well, Mr. Sheridan, you may not know, but this program is run by an international professor who will be personally selecting the students. Unfortunately, I can't help with that," Jacob said apologetically.

"Oh, that's too bad. I was hoping to use this chance to sponsor some foreign lab equipment. It looks like you might not need it after all."

The mention of "lab equipment", especially from overseas, immediately piqued Jacob's interest.

"Actually, that might be negotiable. Considering it's for the University of Glendale and your sincere offer, I might be willing to set aside my reservations and discuss it with Mr. Murdoch."
