"When did you go in?" Helen was confused; she hadn't seen Chandler when she was inside.
"After Fiona made a scene during the live stream, I went in to ask how they'd deal with it," Chandler explained before taking her hand in his, and they walked to the car together.
"What happened to Fiona after that?" Helen asked curiously after getting in.
"David said he reported this to the police, and they've probably informed the Cunninghams. She'll probably be taken back there," Chandler said as he started the engine.
After driving a distance, Helen breathed in the scent filling the car. She found it familiar—Otto had also used this cologne today. She had caught a whiff of it when he'd held her in his arms.
"Did you change your cologne?" Helen asked.
"Yeah," Chandler said, his eyes focused on the raid. "I acquired a fragrance company recently, so I took the opportunity to try out their new fragrances."
"Oh, it smells good." Helen nodded. She turned to look outside the window.
If this was a new product, how did Otto get a hold of it?
As if they had an unspoken understanding, Chandler fell silent as well. He had spent a lot of time changing his outfit and taking off his mask at the back, and he'd come out in a hurry because he feared that Helen would leave before him. That was why he'd forgotten about the cologne.
With how smart Helen was, Chandler was sure that she'd figured out something.
Chandler gripped the steering wheel tighter. He frowned as he was consumed by a feeling of unease.
It wasn't the right time yet. He hadn't been forthright to Helen about his dark side, and if it was exposed just like that Helen would surely abhor him as much as she disliked Otto—she'd surely stop talking to him completely.
"I knew that Hannah is good at her studies, and as expected, she's the best liberal arts student in the country! I admire her more now!"
One of the students took his phone out, and the others followed suit, swarming toward Helen.
"Take a picture with us, Hannah!"
"Helen, just one picture, please!"
"You're my idol! I'm really a fan of you, so can you—"
The classroom was instantly divided into two parts. One was occupied by a crowd with Helen at its center, while the other was empty save for Megan alone.
