Outside the internet café, a brawl was breaking out on the street. Bystanders kept their distance, watching from afar. On closer inspection, it was clear that a gang of thugs was beating up two young men.

It looked like a case of revenge. In this situation, no one dared to intervene.

Tommy and Bentley had been cornered into a late-night food stall. Bentley hid inside the shop while Tommy used a chair to keep the attackers at bay.

"Damn it! Did you call my brother?" Tommy shouted breathlessly, clearly struggling to hold his ground.

"I did, I did! I called the contact labeled 'Boss.' Didn't you hear me talking? Help should be here any minute!" Bentley anxiously glanced outside.

His phone had been knocked out of his hand halfway through the call, so he wasn't even sure if Taylor would come. But right now, that was their only hope.

"Boss?" Tommy's expression froze for a moment in the chaos; then, he let out a string of curses. "Damn! Boss isn't my brother! You called Helen! What good is it having a girl come help us?"

"How was I supposed to know the contact labeled 'Boss' was her? Oh man, we're done for this time!" Bentley was on the verge of tears. That was his last phone call. He didn't even have time to say his final words!

Just then, another thug came charging in with a club. Tommy grabbed a chair and charged at him like a bull, knocking him to the ground before stopping.

Bentley rushed over to back him up, and the two stood back-to-back, ready to fight.

The thugs quickly surrounded them in a circle, taunting them with their weapons.

Unable to hold back, Bentley spotted the smallest thug and lunged at him. But the thug was quick, dodging out of the way effortlessly.

Bentley missed and fell hard to the ground. Just as he was about to get up, another thug landed a heavy blow to the back of his head with a club, knocking him out cold.

Seeing this, Tommy quickly broke away from the thugs attacking him and rushed over to protect Bentley.

"Bentley! Are you still alive? Say something!" Tommy shouted, keeping a wary eye on the thugs around him. But after a moment, there was no response from behind him.

That voice…

Oh no, Helen had arrived, hadn't she?

"Boss! Don't worry about me, go find Taylor! Run!" Tommy shouted at the top of his lungs.

The thugs stopped and looked over. When they saw who had spoken, they were all stunned.

The streetlight at the mouth of the alley cast the narrow passage and the road in contrasting shadows. A young woman in a baseball cap stepped out of the darkness into the light, her long coat billowing in the wind, making her look both cool and fierce.

But her slight frame only made the men laugh harder.

The lead thug sneered. "Well, well, usually it's the hero saving the damsel, but tonight we get to see a damsel saving the hero! Hahaha..."
