Of the Internet stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities. The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 123. Let's read the author's Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities Internet story right here.
Charlie looked at Helen, whom he hadn't seen in a while. He was thrilled inside but maintained a calm facade. "You girl, at least you have some conscience coming back to see this old man."
Helen was arm in arm with Charlie as she cooed, "Grandpa, what are you talking about? I think of you and grandma all the time. How have you both been? Are you eating and sleeping well? And most importantly, have you missed me?"
Charlie proudly claimed, "Your grandma and I are living well. But what about you? Months have flown by. How's the situation with that matter we discussed? Have any of the young men from the Newton family caught your eye? If so, just tell me, and I'll..."
Helen cut off Charlie's words. "Grandpa, I'm only back for a short visit. Can we talk about something else?"
Charlie knew Helen was crafty. "Ah, such a tough life. My granddaughter has grown up and won't listen to me anymore," he lamented with feigned sorrow.
Helen quickly pacified him. "Okay, grandpa, I get it. I'll look around properly, as you advised. But we agreed, if I don't find someone I like within a year, you won't bring this up again."
Charlie's mood improved upon hearing this, "So, you haven't found someone suitable yet?"
Helen shook her head without hesitation.
Seeing this, Charlie sighed in resignation, and they walked into the living room.
Sylvia had controlled her emotions and waited until Helen entered before coughing lightly, "So, you're back."
Helen rushed over. "Grandma, I've missed you so much."
Sylvia's mood lifted upon seeing her granddaughter. Helen seemed to have gained weight on her face during the short months they hadn't seen each other.
Yet, Sylvia hadn't forgotten her ultimate goal. She glanced behind Helen. "Did you come back alone?"
"Grandma, please, don't be angry," Helen quickly tried to calm her, knowing that coming back meant facing marriage pressures. She wished she had delayed her return a bit longer.
While looking at Helen, Sylvia seemed to think of something, and her eyes welled up in tears.
She sighed, "Helen, your parents passed away early, and your aunt is still unmarried. You're our only granddaughter. We just want to see you settled down. It would give us peace of mind.
"Besides, our family business needs a successor. You're not getting any younger. We don't want to keep waiting, fearing we might not live to see the day..."
Sylvia's words weighed heavily on Helen, who grew up with her grandparents after losing her parents. Their only wish was for her to find a good partner, yet she had always let them down.
Helen thought maybe it was time she really started trying, even if it were just for her grandparents' sake.
