As Helen looked over, she saw Mia laughing with a carefree air, looking surprisingly sober despite the night's events.

"Were you pretending to be drunk?" Helen asked, her confusion evident.

Mia's laughter lingered as she straightened up and leaned on the armrest. With a mischievous smile, she said, "When leaders set the rules, those beneath them often devise their own methods to bypass them. It's all part of the game."

"But I saw you drink all that alcohol. You must have quite a tolerance," Helen teased.

"Not at all!" Mia replied. As she wrung out the left side of her shirt, droplets of liquid began to fall on the ground. "I ended up spitting the alcohol back onto my clothes! Didn't you notice me constantly wiping my mouth?"

"You're honestly quite the surprise," Helen remarked, shaking her head with a smile. She'd never have guessed that the typically goofy and clumsy Mia could manage a business dinner with such finesse and make a clean getaway.

It seemed Helen had truly discovered a gem of a manager.

After chatting a bit more, they each returned to their phones.

Soon, the car arrived at Mia's neighborhood. From a distance, Helen spotted a handsome young man standing by the entrance of Mia's building, absorbed in his phone.

When Mia saw him, her lips curved into a shy, affectionate smile, giving her the appearance of a lovesick teenager.

"Is that your boyfriend?" Helen asked candidly.

"Yeah," Mia murmured as she nodded shyly.

"Why haven't you mentioned him before?" Helen asked.

"Well, we only started dating recently," Mia replied, looking a bit embarrassed. "His name is Scott Campbell. He was the one who confessed his feelings to me.

"We've known each other for a while—he's a trainee at Starlight Entertainment, so our paths have crossed many times. It's just that things have only recently developed… I suppose he's my first love."

As she opened the door, Scott greeted Helen with a polite nod. "Good evening, Ms. Spencer."

Helen returned the gesture with a casual wave.

"Have a safe journey home," Mia called out before closing the car door.

The driver then backed up and headed out of the neighborhood.

Helen leaned against the window, watching from afar as Mia clung to Scott like a koala. The scene was undeniably heartwarming and brought back memories of Chandler.

They used to be just as close. But now, things were different.

Reflecting on this, Helen decided to reopen her text conversation with Chandler after a long time.
