"What answers?" Bentley asked, momentarily flustered. "Just give me a second."

Leaning in, Bentley wrapped his arm around Tommy's neck and spun him around. "Come on, which answers were altered? Spill it!"

"Bentley, you idiot!" Tommy hissed through gritted teeth, barely masking his fury.

"I don't give a damn," Bentley said dismissively, tightening his grip on Tommy's neck. "This is important. Do you want Helen to stay in the specialized preparatory program or not?"

Hearing Helen's name, Tommy swallowed his pride and replied through clenched teeth, "The third and seventh multiple-choice questions. They were changed from 'C' to 'D.'"

"Perfect! Thanks, babe!" Bentley replied, giving Tommy a friendly slap on the shoulder and blowing him a kiss.

Turning back to Hunter, he said with a straight face, "I changed the answers for the third and seventh multiple-choice questions to 'D.'"

"What?" Hunter exclaimed, grabbing the answer sheet with a swift motion. He adjusted his glasses and leaned in to examine it closely.

It was clear that the 'D' on the third and seventh questions was distinctly different from the 'D' on the other answers, standing out prominently.

Furious, Hunter slammed the answer sheet onto the table and pointed at Bentley. "How could you do something like this?" he shouted angrily.

"Unfortunately, what's done is done. Feel free to scold me if you like—I'm used to it," Bentley said with a carefree smirk. He casually tilted his head and swung his legs, showing no concern.

Hunter sighed, his disappointment evident. "In that case, you'll need to leave the specialized preparatory program immediately. And don't refer to yourself as one of my students from now on."

Edmund was completely bewildered.

What was happening? Were they putting on a show?

It was obvious that Bentley and Tommy were in cahoots. How could Hunter not see through it?

"That can't be right!" Edmund shouted, his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles cracked. "No one can prove Bentley is telling the truth, so those 12 points shouldn't be counted!"

"Are you suggesting Bentley is lying?" Hunter retorted, his expression darkening into a scowl. "What could Bentley possibly gain from this? Edmund, why must you always assume the worst about these students?"

This was the first time Hunter had addressed Edmund by his first name and directly challenged him.

He felt it was important to show these foreign teachers where the boundaries were. While Cathayan educators were known for their kindness, they had their limits. The students from Grand Cathay certainly would not tolerate any unjust assumptions.

Edmund was momentarily taken aback, his lips moving hesitantly as he searched for the right words.

After a long pause, he finally spoke up, "Since Bentley's claims can't be verified, perhaps we should give Helen a chance to prove herself. If she can achieve a perfect score, I'll agree to let her stay."

The final question on the monthly exam had been left blank by all students, including Helen. This was the last obstacle that could keep her from remaining in the class.
