The victim expressed his gratitude to Chandler in Encerian. "Thanks for your help. I've called the police. They should arrive shortly."

Chandler responded in Cholonese, "I'm Cholonese."

The man was surprised and thanked Chandler again, appreciating the help from a fellow countryman.

Chandler glanced at the subdued thief and spoke to him in Encerian. However, the thief remained defiant.

"Return my wallet now, or you'll regret it," the victim demanded as he reached for the wallet.

Without hesitation, the thief bit the man's hand fiercely.

Chandler's eyes narrowed. He sent the thief down with a swift kick. The thief dropped the wallet. The thief scrambled up and fled swiftly, disappearing into the crowd despite the victim's attempt to pursue him.

"Check your belongings. Is anything missing?" Chandler inquired.

The man quickly checked his wallet. "Thank you so much. The cash isn't important, but my ID and passport are the most important. Losing them would have made returning home very troublesome, especially with the distance to the Alirian embassy and the hassle of the paperwork. So, I'm truly grateful."

Chandler replied humbly, "It was nothing."

However, the man handed Chandler his business card. "If you ever need anything, feel free to contact me."

Chandler glanced at the card and was taken aback. "You're from Nordstadt! And you're the successor of the renowned Hancock Group!"

As they talked, Fabian received a call and excused himself, promising to meet again if fate allowed.

"Until next time," Chandler said as he parted ways with Fabian.

Having observed the entire interaction, Helen couldn't help but comment on Chandler's agility. "I had no idea you were so quick."

She felt that jumping from the second floor was no small feat, considering the height of at least three meters. Chandler could have seriously injured himself.

Chandler snapped back to reality and suggested, "Let's not dwell on it. We should head back and continue our meal."

Resuming their meal, they enjoyed the hot pot to their heart’s content before leaving the restaurant. As they stepped outside, they were suddenly surrounded by a group of foreign men led by the same thief who had fled earlier!
