"I know it's a tracker, but if Helly's was destroyed, how is yours still working?" Taylor asked, confusion etched on his face.

"Well, maybe it's because I'm richer," Abigail replied casually. "Mine's made from a special material developed in Darnovia, so regular devices can't detect it."

"That makes sense." Taylor nodded in appreciation, but then a realization struck him. "Wait, why do you even have a tracker on Helly?"

Abigail's expression froze for a moment before she swatted the back of his head. "Why are you asking so many questions? Just drive! Helly is in danger!"

"Right, right!" Taylor quickly set aside his doubts, refocusing on the road.

Seeing that he didn't bring it up again, Abigail sighed in relief.

She wasn't in the habit of tracking or eavesdropping; her main concern was staying one step ahead of her family. If they came looking for her, she wanted to be able to disappear without putting Helen in jeopardy.

Now, it seemed her preparations were proving unexpectedly useful.

Two hours later, Helen was brought to a construction site.

The building beside her stood as a skeletal frame of steel beams, surrounded by scaffolding and scattered bags of cement.

As her blindfold was removed, she immediately spotted Cameron and Rainey suspended in midair. Below them was solid concrete—falling from that height would almost certainly be fatal.

Moments later, a man stepped out from the fourth-floor platform. Helen recognized him instantly.

"It's been a while," Ronald said, grinning down at her.

Helen narrowed her eyes, studying his face.

Though his voice was familiar, something felt off—this couldn't be the real Ronald. He had already lost his mind. There was no way he could be out here causing trouble again.

"Who are you really?" Helen demanded, her tone icy.

After safely placing Rainey down, Taylor charged ahead to take on Ronald's men.

Helen carefully laid Cameron on the ground, her focus shifting back to Ronald, ready for the confrontation.

To everyone's surprise, Abigail had followed them and reached Ronald just as he exited the building. The two struggled, but Abigail was quickly overpowered by Ronald's superior strength.

In a moment of desperation, she swiftly pulled out a silver needle and aimed for his neck.

The needle struck its target, causing Ronald's neck to stiffen instantly. With Taylor already having subdued his men, Ronald chose to retreat, slipping away before the situation could escalate further.

Just as Abigail instinctively lunged to pursue him, Helen pulled her back. "Don't press a desperate enemy; they can lash out unpredictably."

Abigail clapped her hands. "Okay, we'll let him off for now.

"By the way, Helly, that tranquilizer needle you have is quite effective. You should make more—I want to keep some for protection."
