Aaron's funeral took place as scheduled, all thanks to Helen's meticulous planning.

Chandler and Helen stood side by side at the memorial, thanking the guests who had come to pay their respects.

As the room began to fill, Helen spotted Maddox once again, this time accompanied by a much younger man.

After they settled in, Maddox stepped forward to introduce them. "Ms. Boston, this is my employer, Mr. Vincent Whitlock."

"Good to meet you, Mr. Whitlock," Helen said with a nod.

Vincent mirrored her gesture, assuring her it was no trouble before taking his seat.

A little later, Maurice finally arrived with Oliver and Della. After exchanging pleasantries, Maurice motioned for Helen and Chandler to join him in a nearby lounge.

"Thank you for taking care of your late father's funeral arrangements. I really appreciate all the hard work you've put in these past few days, Helen," Maurice said, oozing his usual self-importance.

"As his daughter, it's the least I could do," Helen replied, her expression impassive.

After a brief nod, Maurice got straight to the point. "You must be under a lot of stress right now. After the funeral, take some time to rest at home. I'll handle the Boston family's affairs on your father's behalf, so you won't have to worry about a thing."

Chandler's gaze sharpened instantly. "So, Mr. Boston, are you suggesting that you intend to take over all of my father-in-law's assets?"

"Let's not frame it that way. It's not about 'taking over.' The Boston family business should stay within the family. With Aaron gone, it's only logical that I take the reins," Maurice replied, exuding confidence.

"Come on, Maurice. Even with Aaron gone, Bee is still here. How can you possibly justify this?" Melody interjected, clearly unhappy.

Maurice scoffed, seemingly assured of his position. "Melody, let's not forget that Aaron severed ties with Helen before he passed. She's no longer part of the Boston family."

"Exactly!" Oliver snapped, his frustration over his broken leg intensifying. "You have no right to inherit anything from the Boston family!"

Helen stepped forward, addressing the crowd. "Everyone, may I have your attention for a moment? I have an important announcement to make.

"Effective immediately, Mr. Maurice Boston will assume the role of CEO of Boston Group, succeeding my father. He will oversee all matters pertaining to the Boston family. For any future dealings or arrangements, please consult directly with him."

Maurice beamed with confidence, fully embracing his newfound authority. "Rest assured, the Boston family will thrive even more under my leadership!"

Guests began to murmur amongst themselves, with one remarking, "Maurice is certainly rushing things. His brother just died, and he's already eager to claim the family fortune. How heartless."

Maurice, however, ignored the whispers. He strutted about with an air of superiority, exuding the triumph of a victor.

Helen, on the other hand, kept her composure. After most of the guests had departed, she walked straight over to Maddox and Vincent.

"Mr. Whitlock, Maurice is now the head of the Boston family. If there's anything you need, please take it up with him."
