The next morning, Helen was already busy in the kitchen. Tyrone dashed off after a quick greeting, heading to a work engagement.

Jenson followed suit, claiming he had some matters to attend to at the office.

Soon after, Adrian joined Chandler as they made their way downstairs. Once they were seated at the table, Helen served each of them a bowl of cereal.

Moments later, she returned with an impressive array of brunch dishes—lobster eggs benedict, duck confit hash, ratatouille frittata, a smoked salmon platter, and fruit tarts. Each one freshly prepared and utterly tempting.

Adrian's eyes sparkled as he eagerly grabbed the duck confit hash. One bite released a burst of flavor, and he couldn't help but relish it.

It was delicious.

However, he kept his excitement to himself, savoring each bite as he became fully immersed in his meal.

As Priscilla walked in and spotted Adrian's hearty appetite, she raised an eyebrow in surprise. With a hint of skepticism, she picked up a piece of smoked salmon, its delicate texture instantly piquing her interest.

"So, Mom, what do you think of Helen's cooking?" Chandler asked, wearing a knowing grin.

"It's acceptable," Priscilla remarked, her words at odds with her actions as she reached out to sample the other dishes.

"Your standards are too high," Louis interjected, unable to hold back. "Isn't this definitely better than what those previous chefs made for us?"

Priscilla shot him a sharp look, silently urging him to be quiet.

Louis backed off, turning to Helen with an enthusiastic smile. "Helen, don't mind your mom; this is fantastic!"

"Thanks, Dad," Helen said, returning his smile.

What Priscilla hated most was feeling like an outsider whenever Helen was present.

"Exactly! A family supporting each other and living happily together—that's what really matters," Louis said with a cheerful grin. "Now, all I need is for you two to hurry up and give me a granddaughter. That way, your mom and I won't be so bored at home!"

Hearing this, Helen shyly lowered her gaze.

Chandler, however, was unfazed. "I'll do my best."

"What's the point of your efforts? You're not the one giving birth!" Louis said, standing up for Helen. "This is her decision; she'll choose when she's ready. Don't you dare pressure her, understand?"

Chandler pretended to sigh dramatically. "I can't help but wonder who your real child is."

"Whoever gives me a granddaughter—that's my real kid," Louis shot back, his intentions unmistakable.

Chandler was left speechless.
