Chapter 148 novel Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities

Margaret silently clenched her hand clenched. At this moment, the salesperson walked over. "Ms. Leonard, do you need anything else?"

Margaret was already irritated, and now that the salesperson approached, she couldn't hold back. She snapped, "What is there to buy? I won't come here anymore!" With these words, Margaret stormed off angrily.

Helen exited the mall and looked at the two bags in her hands. She originally only wanted to buy one tie as a birthday gift for Chandler. But now, just to spite Margaret, she had bought an extra one. She might as well give the other tie to Taylor.

At the thought of this, Helen felt much better and didn't mind that she had spent extra money to buy another tie.

Just as she was about to head back to school, she received a call from Esmond. "Helen, are you busy now?"

Helen smiled and answered, "Not at all! Mr. Newton Senior, is there something you need?"

Esmond continued, "Nothing much. Just that I've arranged for someone to pick you up after school this afternoon. You can come with them."

Helen agreed without much thought.

After school, the person arranged by Esmond was already waiting at the school gate. Seeing Helen approaching, he quickly stepped forward to take her bag. "Ms. Spencer, please."

Helen got into the car and couldn't help but ask, "Where are we going?"

The driver explained, "Mr. Newton Senior said that tonight is Mr. Newton's birthday banquet, so he arranged for us to take you to a salon for styling."

Hearing this, she immediately declined. "No need. My current style is fine. Let's not trouble anyone."

The driver smiled. "It's alright. Mr. Newton Senior has arranged everything. You just need to follow his instructions."

Helen couldn't refuse. She was afraid that her makeup might be exposed at this rate. When she reached the salon, she only requested for the stylist to pick out a dress for her. As for her makeup, she insisted on doing it herself.

Helen politely but awkwardly declined him. "No need. Just change the dress, please."

In the end, she changed into a simple dress that had a low-key yet elegant design.

At seven in the evening, the atmosphere at the Newton residence was lively.

Many elegantly dressed ladies mingled around, holding up their glasses and chatting with one another. The scene was bustling. Upstairs, several servants helped fix Esmond's attire. He looked at himself in the mirror and asked, "Is everything ready?"

The butler respectfully replied, "Rest assured, Mr. Newton Senior. Everything is ready. We're just waiting for Ms. Spencer and Mr. Chandler to arrive."

Esmond nodded in satisfaction. "Handle everything discreetly. Don't let Chandler notice anything."
