Helen was surprised. "Who's playing the piano so late?"

She listened quietly. The piano music rose and fell, sometimes melodious, sometimes deep as two emotions intertwined. Out of curiosity, Helen followed the sound of the piano.

She continued until she reached the top floor of the villa. The piano music became clearer. Helen walked to the front of the music room and pushed open the half-closed door.

What met her eyes was a tall figure with his back to her. She saw the man's slender fingers dancing quickly across the keys, and rhythmic music followed.

"You play well!" Helen sincerely remarked. The moment she spoke, Chandler stopped his movements.

He withdrew his hand and looked at her. "Why are you here so late?"

She chuckled and walked in. "I was drawn here by your piano playing."

"I was just playing casually. It's nothing extraordinary," said Chandler.

However, Helen disagreed. "You must've practiced piano for many years! I'm guessing you've reached Grade 8."

Chandler raised an eyebrow and asked, "Do you know how to play the piano?"

She rubbed her nose nervously and answered, "Not really. I just know a little."

He became interested upon hearing this. "How about we play a piece together?" he suggested.

Facing his invitation, Helen didn't hesitate. "Sure."

However, Chandler stopped her. "I felt a connection with you when we played the piano together. Let's play together again sometime."

Helen smiled and replied, "Sure."

Then she turned and left. Chandler watched her figure disappear, then shifted his gaze back to the piano keys. He slowly closed his eyes.

The piece they played together just now seemed to still echo in his ears. No one had ever been able to keep up with his speed until Helen. She was the first who cooperated with him so seamlessly and was on par with him.

Chandler opened his eyes and felt inexplicably curious about Helen.
