"Ethan, you shouldn't do things like this in the future. We're all students now. We're not even at the age to talk about love. People will misunderstand us because of your actions. Please don't come looking for me anymore," Helen said firmly.

Ethan didn't expect her to be so direct. He felt a bit confused. "Did I cause you trouble by doing this? That's okay. If you don't like it, then I won't do it anymore."

Helen thought about something for a moment and then asked, "Ethan, why are you doing this? Or rather, what are you aiming for by doing this? I'm not pretty enough, and it's not even an exaggeration to say I'm ugly. Why would you be interested in me?"

He looked at her and felt his heart pounding nervously. "You misunderstood me. It's not that I'm interested in you, it's that I… I like you. Yes, Helen, I like you."

Before Ethan could finish his words, a cough came from behind. Helen snapped back to reality and lifted her gaze, only to see Chandler standing beside her.
