The celebration banquet was nearing the end. Seeing that Germaine was by herself, Bryan approached her and asked, "Your little friend has left early. Are you still waiting for him?"

Bryan was the kind of person who didn't show his emotions on his face. Though he appeared to be uninterested in Jenson, he actually had been observing every move of Jenson.

Germaine put on a faint smile. "No, I'm just seeing if there is any relationship worth developing."

"The most promising stock is right in front of you, yet you're still looking at others. It seems you've grown distant from me." Bryan teased.

Germaine forced a smile and replied politely, "Mr. Wixx, I'd be more than happy if you're willing to guide me."

Bryan directly changed the topic. "I've heard of Jenson Newton before. I thought he was a rising star, but I realized he is just an overly possessive and hyper kid after meeting him today."

Germaine's gaze became affectionate at the mention of Jenson. "He is indeed a little childish, but that's also what I like about him the most."

"Everyone wants to be a little kid when they are in love. However, men generally mature later. You might like his youth now, but you'll also probably suffer for it in the future," said Bryan.

"There's a possibility." Germaine simply shrugged and replied, "But so far, it hasn't happened."

Bryan tried to say something, but Germaine directly cut him off. "Let's talk about you. Since you personally came to Grand Cathay, you must be intending to expand your market as well.

"Why don't we cooperate since we have the same goals?" Germaine said straightforwardly to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings.

Bryan got the message and stopped pestering. He responded smoothly, "You know I like to keep business and private matters separate. Whether we can cooperate depends on how appealing your little friend's proposal is."

"Then, look forward to it, Mr. Wixx. You'll be pleasantly surprised." Germaine was full of confidence.

Bryan didn't respond, but he glanced at her from head to toe with affectionate eyes.

Noticing his odd mood, Germaine looked down at the coat on her shoulders and quickly realized that he was upset. She removed Bryan's coat and casually hung it on a nearby rack.

She walked over and sat down beside him, her soft body leaning against him. "You saw Bryan, didn't you? Are you jealous?"

Jenson turned his face away and denied arrogantly. "I'm not."

Germaine chuckled and held onto his arm even tighter, shamelessly pouting. "Dear, I'm so tired. I need a kiss."

Jenson snorted and tilted his head up defiantly, refusing to respond.

Seeing that, Germaine let go of him and pretended to be upset. "You don't love me anymore."
