"I couldn't find your boxers, but it looks like your dirty laundry is about to be aired," Germaine teased, holding up Jenson's jacket in one hand and waving the business card in the other.
She shot him a half-smile, raising an eyebrow. "Care to explain?"
"What's this about?" Jenson walked over and took the card from her hand. After a quick glance, his expression shifted to confusion. "Why do you have this crazy woman's card?"
"That's something you should be asking yourself," Germaine said with a mischievous grin, her eyes narrowing like she'd caught a cat red-handed. "I found it in your pocket."
She knew full well that Jenson wasn't the type to fool around behind her back. Every now and then, though, she couldn't resist stirring the pot just for the fun of it.
"Me?" Jenson pointed to himself in confusion, thinking she was joking. A playful grin spread across his lips as he asked, "Are you sure you're not mistaken?"
But seeing the serious expression on Germaine's face, his confidence began to waver. He looked at the card again, trying to recall when he might have picked it up, but nothing came to mind. Frustrated, he scratched his head, unable to make sense of it.
"Take your time figuring it out," Germaine said casually, tossing his jacket aside as she headed toward the door. "I'll be staying with Helen tonight."
After all, absence made the heart grow fonder. They had been inseparable lately, so a night apart didn't seem like the worst idea.
Plus, Germaine had some private matters to discuss with her.
With that, Chandler found himself ushered out of the room by Helen.
Jenson quickly got dressed and hurried after Germaine, only to spot Chandler standing helplessly outside the door. Their eyes met, both wearing matching looks of frustration.
Exasperated, Chandler decided to take a jab at Jenson. "Mr. Jenson, as the head of SK Group, don't you find it a little embarrassing that you can't even manage your fiancée?"
Jenson chuckled, throwing an arm over Chandler's shoulder. "Hey, don't be so hard on me. We're both in the same boat, after all. Let's go grab a drink."
A woman's arrogant voice echoed through the line. "Mr. Moran is sick. The car's waiting outside the hotel. Come back quickly."
Before Germaine could ask further, the woman hung up abruptly, leaving only silence on the other end.
Helen was taken aback by the strange call. "Who was that?"
"Probably Seth's youngest daughter," Germaine replied, collecting her things. "I won't be long. Don't wait for me."
With that, she stepped into the Moran family's car and quickly left the hotel.
Shortly after Germaine left, the door to Jenson's suite swung open.
