The next day, Aiden arrived early with Abigail at the agreed-upon location. To his surprise, Lucy was already there, waiting at the entrance.

Aiden took the initiative to introduce them. "This is Lucy, my cousin, and this is Abigail, your future cousin-in-law."

"Hello," Abigail greeted with a slight nod, her stunning beauty radiating a confident, almost intimidating aura.

"Abigail, you're so cool," Lucy said, her admiration sincere.

"Thank you," Abigail replied, offering a sheepish smile. While she appreciated the compliment, the term "future cousin-in-law" still felt a bit odd.

"You two go on in," Lucy said kindly.

"Aren't you coming?" Abigail asked, her confusion evident.

"She's probably waiting for her boyfriend," Aiden teased, exaggerating their relationship. "Let's not get in their way."

"We're not official yet," Lucy responded, her cheeks flushing as she nervously bit her lip.

"Well, it'll happen soon. Trust me, I know how these things go," Aiden quipped, glancing at Abigail. "Most young women get embarrassed so easily."

Abigail nodded, a knowing look in her eyes.

"Well, we'll go in first. When he arrives, you two can join us," Aiden said, taking Abigail's arm.

Just as they were about to walk inside, the sound of a car pulling up outside caught their attention.
