Chandler knew this was cruel, but this was the truth.

"Grandpa, you've taught us to be brothers since we were boys. You've taught us that for the family to prosper, we needed to be united. I've always kept your words in mind, but this incident taught me a harsh lesson and nearly led to the downfall of the Newton Group," he stated.

Esmond's chest heaved heavily. He was far from calm. He swept his hand across the table, and all the tea cups fell to the ground with a crash.

"Bastards, all of them!" he exclaimed angrily.

Chandler quickly tried to reassure him, "Grandpa, I'm just informing you about this. I currently have a plan in motion, but I hope you can let me carry out my plan."

Esmond responded with a hint of understanding, "Very well! Even I can't excuse him from doing such things. But I have something to say.

"He and you are still brothers. Although you are not of the same mother, the same blood flows through your veins. Let's draw the line here and spare him some dignity at the very least."

Chandler nodded. "I understand, Grandpa."

Esmond sighed. "Chandler, you've never made me worry since you were a boy. I trust you. In the future, I'll only be at ease if the Newton Group is in your hands.'

He continued, "Go on and handle it. If there's anything you can't handle, just let me know."

"Yes, Grandpa," replied Chandler.

Esmond appeared exhausted. "Alright, you may leave. Handle this issue well."

Chandler left, leaving Esmond alone in the living room.

Esmond looked at the ceiling above and let out a long sigh. "Oh, what a shame!"

"Carles, how's the situation at the company?" Chandler asked.

Carles hesitated, but said, "Several major clients have been poached by Zac and they have all proposed solutions. Some of the company's employees are still undecided about whether to stay or leave. I've followed your instructions and didn't interfere too much."

Chandler nodded gratefully. "Prepare for the worst-case scenario. I expect the stocks to crash tomorrow."

Carles couldn't help but feel alarmed. With so many clients terminating their contracts, the Newton Group was about to face a severe test. If they couldn't overcome it, the Newton Group might even collapse.

"Inform everyone that they shouldn't work overtime tonight and to get off work on time," instructed Chandler.

When Carles heard this, he quickly said with concern, "Mr. Chandler, I'm afraid that would be impossible. If all the employees are off, how will the company operate? It'll lead to chaos."

Chandler replied calmly, "We'll deal with it when it comes."
