In the past few days, everyone could see that Kingsley was Chandler's distinguished guest. He may look unreliable, but Chandler still showed him respect, so he was not someone to be trifled with.

"I never intended to take his life; he brought this upon himself by provoking me." Even though Abigail had a short temper, she was reasonable.

"I know, you're the most understanding person. Let's not stoop to his level. Come on, I'll take you to an authentic Cathayan restaurant to celebrate our upcoming days in advance.

With the joint efforts of the Hunt family and the Xander family, all news related to Lucy had been taken down from the internet. Coupled with Kingsley's treatment, Lucy had already resumed her daily life.

It just happened that Lucy's best friend, Salome Mendes, returned from studying abroad. In order to welcome her, Lucy specially took Salome to a Cathayan restaurant on her bucket list.

The two best friends decided to eat to their heart's content. But just as they walked into the restaurant, Lucy took a glance inside and was about to flee in a panic.

"Why are you leaving already when we just got here?" Salome stopped Lucy and followed her gaze inside.

A handsome man and a beautiful woman sat by the window, and they both seemed to be Cathayans as well. The man was serving food and pouring drinks for the woman, and the scene was sickeningly sweet.

"Do you know those two, Lucy?" Salome asked with confusion.

Lucy turned and covered half of her face with her hand, feeling quite embarrassed. Seeing how confused Salome was, Lucy could only explain softly. "He is Taylor Xander. Salome, let's go somewhere else."

"How can you act like nothing happened and have no remorse at all? You ruined someone else's life, yet you're being all romantic here. Don't you feel even a little guilty?

"She could have had a carefree life and been the happiest little princess if she hadn't met you. Taylor, you're a bastard!"

Despite receiving a harsh reprimand, Taylor didn't refute. He just lowered his head and silently endured it. He could vaguely guess the identity of the person speaking; he should put up with these accusations.

"Who are you? What right do you have to yell at my fiancé in public?" Abigail, who had been watching from the side, couldn't hold back any longer.

Salome gave Abigail a once-over and shot her a sideways glance, mocking sarcastically. "The world has really changed. It's truly an eye-opener to see someone acting so defiantly after stealing another person's boyfriend."
