"Chandler has ruined my everything. Shouldn't such a person die?"

If Zac hadn't mentioned Helen, Kingsley might still sympathize with Zac. Now that Zac brought it up, Kingsley knew that what Zac said earlier couldn't be fully trusted.

Helen was living right next to Chandler now, yet Zac didn't even know about it. How dared he call her the love of his life?

"Chandler is very cunning. I'm afraid there isn't a suitable opportunity to make a move now." Kingsley was being reserved on purpose. Making definite statements might put him in a vulnerable position.

"Don't try to fool me. You're so close to them; how is it possible that there is no opportunity?" Zac cast a scrutinizing glance at Kingsley.

"The most important person in my life is in your hands. Do you think I'd risk it for an outsider like Chandler?" Kingsley assumed a resigned attitude.

"Besides, if Chandler were really that easy to deal with, you would have long succeeded. Why would you need to come to me?"

Zac gave it a thought and agreed with Kingsley. His expression shifted from displeased to pleased. "In that case, I'll be counting on you, sir."

Kingsley pulled a long face, looking frustrated. "Don't call me 'sir.' Just call me by my name." He wouldn't want to have the respect of someone actively blackmailing him.

Zac didn't intend to show Kinglsey much respect either. He stepped forward and gave him two firm pats on the shoulder. "Alright then. Do your best. Without you, she might not be able to hold on for long."

With that, Zac withdrew his hand, walked toward an MPV with hands in his pockets, and left. Standing on the platform, Kingsley's shadow was stretched long under the setting sun, and he clenched his fists tightly for a long time.

The moon was already up when Kingsley returned home. As he passed by the door, he saw the thermal food container on the ground.

Kingsley ignored Chandler's words and changed the subject. "What brings you here?"

"It's nothing." Chandler walked over, put down the cup, and looked at Kingsley with interest. "I thought you might want to see me, so I came."

Their eyes met for less than two seconds, and Kingsley quickly turned his face away. "Your intuition seems to be off."

"Is that so?" Chandler smirked and gazed at Kingsley before turning around to walk toward the door. "Well then, enjoy your dinner. See you."

Kingsley's gaze followed Chandler as countless thoughts raged inside him. By the time he turned the doorknob, Kingsley finally made up his mind and stood up.

"Chandler."
