Julia had been awake the entire night. Hearing the noise, she slipped out of her room in her pajamas. Kneeling beside the couch, she gently massaged Zac's temples, trying to ease his tension.

After a few moments, Julia mustered the courage to speak. "Zac, I'm not feeling well. I was thinking of going to the hospital in the city tomorrow for a checkup."

"We're in a critical period right now. If it's not too serious, try to hold on a little longer. Once this is over, I'll take you myself. But if you leave now, who will take care of Jenson? You're the only one I trust with him, and I wouldn't feel right if you weren't here," Zac said, gently refusing her request.

A warm feeling spread through Julia's chest. In Zac's eyes, she was clearly the one he relied on the most—unlike Jenson, who never seemed to understand anything.

Yet, despite the sweetness of the moment, a sense of unease began to settle in her mind.
